New & Overwhelmed. How Do You Figure The Price To Sell Your Photos?

I am open to your thoughts & help. Can you look over my prices? To high to low?
Thank you...

Take a look at how other people price their work. I see you have different prices for different images. You can set your prices Behind the scenes in default settings.

start low, see if it sells, increase prices. for me the prices are low... however

Photography Prints
things like this are totally out of focus and they may not print it. be sure your using more keywords including the flower type it is. and better descriptions. keep in mind that flowers are very hard to sell because everyone - including the buyers - have them. you have to make them very unique.

Photography Prints
no one will find these tulips when you don't mention tulips in the tags.. further, they aren't in focus and there is a date code in the corner. if they did sell- the printers would reject it. best to fix it now.

this isn't really a critique, but it will save you time in the future.

prices themselves are a personal thing. you charge as much as you think you can get away with.

Thank you. I have a clearer idea of what to do. Didn't know about default settings. Do you mind looking again to see what you think. All comments are greatly appreciated.
God Bless...

got a better avatar? that's mostly dog.

default prices only effects future uploads
bulk edit does the now stuff.

just a personal quirk

Sell Art Online
but crooked horizons annoy me. be sure to always add a description. a landmark is better because people buy specific locations.

Sell Art Online
your main subject really isn't in focus in this one. it also look enlarged. either a tight crop or a digital zoom i'm iffy it it will print. add more keywords.

most of your prices are the same price. there is no advantage for you to keep the first 3 the same mark up. further the card only gives you a dollar profit and is only slightly smaller than the small prints. i always mark them higher. be sure to add a bio.

Mike... Thank you with your help I shall get this on track.

How do I use the default prices
Bulk edit will get it figured out.

just fill the prices into all those boxes shown. and from that point on, all it will fill everything in each time.

bulk edit, hit bulk, show all images, there is an empty box on the top list hit that, then directly below that one, it will have another box that shows all your images. after that's checked, then hit the button that lets you edit. check off the items you want to change prices on. add new prices, hit ok and wait.

I wouldn't worry about pricing at this point. Your focus should be on creating a portfolio of images people would want to purchase.

ed said what i was going to say if i woke up 7 min earlier... focus on uploading. there is no perfect price points and each person is different. upload only your best and get a many as you can up here right now. try not to upload family shots, focus on descriptions

Art Prints
focus on the subject - as in it should be clear. this won't print. make sure you can see the bird itself. that its not a digital zoom or a tight crop that's been enlarged. images should be free of noise and should look very nice. something you would buy if you saw it in a store

be sure that if its a vacation picture that the image doesn't look like one. and set everything up in galleries right now because it will become very confusing in no time.

No price will sell an out of focus photo. Spend some time looking at your competition here and out in the world. Look at the recently sold page. Does what you have to offer match the quality of what people are buying?

FAA is a great place and I love it.... But... there always is a but with me... lol

FAA is a very, very small part of the overall art market. It does not have a lock on internet buyers. Once they land here, they are usually coming for some other art site or can easily get to one after they have been here.

Simply looking at what everyone or anyone else is doing is not the right way to price your art work. This should be part of your overall business plan or at least something you should learn to do for yourself. That way as you join other sites you will have the ability to price your art for the market, not just the individual site.

Go to all of the other retailers, including FAA and see what they are doing. See where you may fit in the way of pricing.

Simply stated you can break it down to entry level, middle of the road or high end. Where do you fit? Where are you in your sill level, your development? Where do you want to go and how do you want to get there.

Just doing what others tell you to do is letting others run your business instead of learning what it takes to run your own business.
