Sunflowers are in bloom! I find them so bold, bright and cheery. These were taken on a sunny evening, the last day of August.

Composite full moon images of Topsail Island, NC. While these two images are composites, all images were taken on Topsail Island, so the moon, pelicans, sunset, colors, and such are from TI, and not from stock images--that may matter to some of you. Also, these images encourage a study of a super-realistic, exaggerated emphasis of the moon, which can occur to varying degrees with my moon pieces, depending on interpretation, visual impact/message that I or one wish(es) to convey.

3rd Dr Who And Friends
This Dr Who digital painting was created in November 2014. It is a slightly humorous look at the TV series Dr Who, which started in 1963 with the central character being played by a number of actors over the years. During 1970 -74 Jon Pertwee played the 3rd Dr Who and his assistant for part of that time, Jo Grant, was played by Katy Manning. At this time the programme featured many engaging stories, characters and monsters, unlike today’s fast paced ones of more recent times!
The illustration, painted in photoshop shows a number of monsters met during the 3rd doctors time.
The monsters featured are a gargoyle/daemon, Alpha Centauri, Dalek, the great one (giant spider), Sontarian, Sea Devil, Omega, Axos, and giant maggots. The line up is dominated by the 1st incarnation of the Master, played by Roger Delgado.
Painted in Photoshop.

The towering pillars of a suspension bridge. This is the huge Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam. I was invited on a cruise ship of the "Holland America Line" that was moored with it's bow near the bridge. This was such a impressive view, the giant bridge, the 250 meter cruise ship and skyscrapers all around. I made a few images on top of the cruise ship of the beautiful panorama, I was so happy!

When I went into the mountains yesterday morning for a hike, I had absolutely NO expectations whatsoever of still seeing large numbers of wildflowers (aside from a final aster bloom or a few other stragglers). Now it's certainly very much past peak, but it's the first few days of September! I was shocked; 2015 has turned out to be the lengthiest flower season I've experienced thus far in Colorado (I started living here in 2009). Below are the ones I uploaded from this beautiful and surprising morning!

The Sail Training Ship Gorch Fock is by far the most famous ship in Germany. Especially when the currency in Germany was the Deutsche Mark, every child knew the Gorch Fock, because it was printed at the back of the 10 DM bill, before it was replaced by new DM notes in 1995. What most people - even in Germany - do not know: today there are 2 ships, which share the name Gorch Fock. Both of them do not only share the name, but also an exciting history. The Gorch Fock 1, which shows my photograph, was build 1932-1933, 1945 it was sunk purposely, and in 1947 salvaged by the Russians. Till 1991, renamed in Towarishtsh, the Gorch Fock 1 served as sail training vessel in the Sowiet Union, and sailed until 1993 under Ukrainian flag. 2003, the Gorch Fock 1 returned back to its hailing port Stralsund. The sister ship still is in service as sail training ship in the German Navy.

Another one from the Gorch Fock. The building on the right is the Ozeaneum, a popular museum in Hanseatic City Stralsund:

I found this picture on an old external drive and had to give it a go. Deep in the Marvel cave at Silver Dollar City.
Which of these do you like better? I posted both:
Can you believe the charm of the town of Proviencetown, Cape Cod? Each nook and cranny is a piece of art. Each yard, each door, each window, though worn by being so near the sea, is unique and beautiful. This white picket fence, intertwine by vines, with tiny colorful flower peaking through is a tiny bit of Cape Cod heaven.
This may not be art, but it's a lot of fun and I wanted to share it.
This Australian shepherd dog was determined to catch that frisbee in the dog show at Silver Dollar City in Branson Mo. And I was determined to capture him doing his flips. What a dog! I've always treasured this picture.
This is art, and I am very proud of it
DescriptionI saw this guy in Provincetown, Cape Cod and he called to me. I had to research what he was, and through him, I discovered head planters, which have become an obsession with me. He is strange but beautiful in his own way.
I found this image on an old hard drive. I worked hard on this picture and am so glad I found it again.
This is another old one I found:
Hemingway grew old in Cuba. He hunted for German subs in the Pilar. He changed wifes yet again and wrote "The Old Man and the Sea'" among other books. He'd found his home until he was forced to leave by the Cuban Revolution. And when he left, he died.

We are so fortunate to have our own mountain property where I can photograph to my hearts content. Just a couple weeks ago, my husband and I ran across this young Mule Deer fawn following its mother through the woods on Casper Mountain here in Casper, Wyoming. Thankfully, I had my camera ready and was able to get one good image before it continued on its walk.
