Does Anybody Face The Same Trouble With Sharing Art?!

Art shared rom FAA turns into nothing! I mean artwork, when shared on facebook, twitter or any other platform, appear as a link only, not showing images. Do you have a same trouble or it's some type of malware?

Mine shows my images.... Are you sharing from FAA or your premium AW? Sometimes you have to scroll through a couple choices before finding your art and clicking on the 'post' button

Hello Maria Hakobyan

I just take the url (website address) and then on FB where you make a comment I insert it and then it shows an image via FAA on FB. Then when a person clicks on the image it takes them right FAA to the Art.

Look at mine and you will be able to see what it does.

PS
I have found it works best to hit enter after putting the url Once in a while I get just the url showing but most often everything works fine. Good Luck

Sometimes you have to do it a couple times. Sometimes it doesn't work the first time. I paste it in and ....just a link. Then I have to back off that page and open it again to get rid of the post and I post it again....and wait a minute until the little wheel starts whirling...and then it finally pops in. Good luck!!

Thank you all for your comments ! I have tried it all before, but it gave zero result. Earlier ,I have no problems with sharing ART, no matter mine or others from FAA, but I do now... I think something wrong with my computer.

If you want an image of your own art to post as an image, just edit the image and check FB and twitter at the bottom before you submit.

Sounds like you have a computer issue. I am new to this site and have been trying everything out and seeing how it all works. My bigger question (which I will do on a separate discussion) is what prevents anyone from right clicking an image we share on twitter and then saving it as their own? Facebook shares appear to prevent this but not twitter. Any comments?

Some links I post from FAA can't show an image only a link. I don't know why but it happens with some images.

I have the same problem, Jessica. Some images when shared appear as links.

I am having the same issue with twitter, when I share to Facebook it works fine, but in the last week or so twitter posts seem to be sharing only the link, not the link and an image like they used to. In all honesty thought it could be completely my fault

If you want the image to appear on Twitter then you have to go into the 'edit' on the image and check the 'Twitter' option at the bottom of the page. That will work for you as Caitlyn says above. The difficulty I have is in posting other people's work with an image. I see gorgeous work on here all the time, but posting it to Twitter only shows the link. The FAA faithful will invariably click on the link, but generally I think most people will ignore. If anyone has any ideas on that it would be appreciated.

Facebook has sporadic issues with picking up the image when you try to post a link. I usually post sometimes as many as five a day to my Facebook fan page (facebook.com/TheArtOfDanielEskridge), and I usually encounter this on average every two days or so. Sometimes, all you can do is wait for Facebook to get their act together and try again after a few hours.

However, if you are not that patient, like me, you can try going to http://goo.gl shortening the link, then posting that Facebook instead. Usually this get the picture to show for me when FB is acting up.

You should post your images and links back to your AW manually and not use the auto posting form FAA. Not only is it problematic, but it very often ends up being an ad for FineArtAmerica and its 100,000 members instead of you.

Same thing with Twitter.

I have all of the auto posting to FB and Twitter turned off.

@Robert Newman - I had a problem with someone poaching my artwork. Usually what I do now is put a thumbnail version on Twitter/Facebook with a link to the relevant site. Big enough to see - small enough to not be worth stealing/reproducing.

I have the same issue. I have never been able to make an image appear on twitter just by pressing the twitter share button. The only time my images show up is when I first upload them and I have the twitter box checked, or use the edit button then check the twitter box. Normally if I want to tweet my image with hashtags it can be a process. I have to have several windows open. First I have to find the image I want to share on twitter. The image was already posted when I first uploaded it. Click on it which expands the image. Then click on it again so it pops up in its own window. Then click the reply button. Then I copy the pic code which normally looks like pic.twitter.com/random letters and numbers. Then I close all that. Open up a new tweet. Paste the pic code. Then I go to my AW copy the URL for that image. Paste it into my tweet. Then I add my captions and hashtags. Then post my tweet.
Whew, I'm tired just from thinking through this process.

Now if I want to post products, I have to save the product image to my computer. Then just tweet the URL for that product and upload the product image plus add captions and hashtags.

I would love to know if there is an easier way
