Where Is Faa Santa Monica Ca?? And Will Sean Be Around July 31st?

Art Prints

Me and the family will be visiting Southern California from July 29 thru 31. Thursday July 30 will be Universal Studio day, but Friday July 31 will be a free day for driving around and making stops at Culver City for my 10 year old's Jeopardy and Wheel of Fiortune mecca tour, he was raised on the two shows weekdays from 7-8, lol! And Santa Monica will be part of that Friday tour. So question is, where is FAA Santa Monica address? ...and more importantly, will Sean be around that day for me to buy him lunch!. ...or visaversa! ;-D

You need to contact us via Tech support and I will put you in touch with him

Thanks Abbie, there's was an address on faa before but I can't find it now, do you have it and is it ok to put it here online? -W

Nevermind, I think I found the address. I actually just want to see the area and take some pictures for my own entertainment since we will likely be in Santa Monica most of the day, and perhaps post a few pictures for sale, it looks like the nice part of town! We'll be busy but my offer still stands though, coffee at Jinky's Café across the street (if it's still there)? Insalate at Buca's next door? ;-) -W

So we made it to Santa Monica, no Sean, but that's just as well, we were busy all 2-1/2 days we were in Southern California, only spent about 1-1/2 hour in Santa Monica pretty much just passing through before driving up Highway 1 and 101 back home to the Bay Area. Here's a few shots of the trip. -W

Day 1, Universal Studios Hollywood

Overlooking Angeles National Park and the Lakeside Golf Club. The clouds in the skies of Southern California is always dramatic and never disappoints.

Day 2, Culver City. Note, no photos, it's not much of a city, but Sony Pictures studios is there and we got audience tickets to tapings of 3 Wheel of Fortune shows, the only air date I remembered is Nov 24th, I forgot what the other two were. We'll likely be seen on those shows, we sat on the row directly under the winning contestant's family and friends. Our hands are still numb from their directing us to clap almost non-stop. No photography was allowed inside the studio.

Day 3, quick shot of

Fine Art America Santa Monica.

I'm assuming there's a separate corporate headquarters somewhere else with better street appeal.

The headquarters is a rental cubicle. You were there.

I know that Santa Monica space is one of FAA's locations, and it's a beautiful location even though the storefront leaves a lot to be desired.

According to Whois, the registrant of fineartamerica.com is at 2506 Clark St, Chicago, IL which is the image below. I'm assuming it's an office on the 2nd floor above "Great Clips", no wonder Sean's hair always looks fabulous! lol !

Also, here's a blog of faa in Chicago, it reads more like a vacation but I think Chicago is also one of faa's addresses (aside from their print production partners elsewhere). -W

so did you like bang on the windows peering inside? was there stuff inside? or was it just like a dark room filled with computers with one person in the center, wires attaching to them like tentacles?

Yea, Sean's pretty much a Wizard hiding behind the partition! Actually, like the sign in my Santa Monica image said, they are "Blank Spaces" which I take to be spaces you can rent and use as an office with an address. The space was closed on that Saturday and 2 people walked up, one of them said to the other one that one of those partitions was her space where her clients can come by and see her office, or something to that effect. There wasn't very much inside that I can see from the entrance, if my memory serves me, I think mostly partitions. I'm pretty sure an online outfit like faa don't need much space for book-keeping, etc. -W

With an xray lens, here's a shot inside the building and behind the partitions...

(dug this up from 4 years ago, I knew I was going to get a few more miles from it! LOL)

M, Here's your famous quote from 4 years ago when that wizard image first appeared. -W

I totally remember that comment, Wings!

Good find! That's how Sean's able to run a tight ship on a bootstrap budget! ...and be successful doing it. If I lived out there, I wouldn't mind paying $100 a month to be there every day too! -W

I doubt that nothing goes there but mail and returns.

Nowadays, working on a computer, your office is the nearest Starbucks.

You should have looked there!

lol! We were at the Culver City Starbucks waiting for our scheduled time to arrive at the Wheel. No Sean there either. :-) -W

I think JC posted on another thread that address for faa copyright agency mail, likely mailing address for everything. I think I also called a customer service phone number with a santa monica area code once. -W

Did you make it to Venice Beach?

No, the route was just part of our trip home, we pretty much came down Santa Monica Blvd and went up highway 1 North, didn't go any further South. -W

So now that the Cortney and Rosie show has made an appearance on the discussion board http://pixels.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2639483, we now know there are actually live people inside that Santa Monica office building! lol -W
