Kansas

I did a search for the keyword "Kansas" at FAA and then looked to see where my images were showing for Kansas. I noted the "names" for Kansas photography on the first pages, and I am aware of them, of course. Yet, going through the pages for Kansas and to the end of the line, there were none of mine. I am a Kansas photographer and actually known in the area where I live---known and listed as a Kansas photographer and have been since 2008. I make sure Kansas, Kansas landscapes, and Kansas "whatever" are in the tags as well as descriptions and on the sidebar about me. I sold a Kansas image recently here at FAA. I do not have a count but I have a large number of Kansas images in my FAA galleries.

So, why aren't my Kansas images showing up for the FAA "Kansas" keyword pages?

Or am I overlooking something? Or I am not searching correctly?

how well do they sell? they only seem to show like 10,000 images

Kansas, and really any given state is a very VERY general search . I don't show up on that search until page 6 myself and sell well.

Generally, people are more specific with a search than just the state. Like say Wichita Kansas, or Manhattan Kansas or Kansas farms, Kansas sunflowers.

It is those other keywords that get you found in conjunction with Kansas.

hi anna your not overlooking anything the fact is " kansas " along with most states & popular cities happen to be keyword(s) covered by several big big sellers ,which is going to force you to be sure to have as many other great keywords as possible to be found .

i was about to say mention the town and an exact location. kansas is a big place and the ones that sell the most will stand on top. i have a few colorized things that have kansas in there, but i don't think i'll show that high.

Indeed, Kansas is a very general search and covered by several big sellers. I will hone with locations, then, such county and nearby towns and townships. And see if I can get more creative tags for Kansas as well.
