Marketing

I have not been here long. I have had some views, and words of encouragement, but I am trying for more. I posted on Pinterest, Artpal, Facebook, and Zazzle. My uncle offered an opportunity to participate in a show. I did this Sketchbook Project thing this year. I am planning on trying to get into an art society in the fall. How is Etsy? Oh, I tried to use Bing to register this website to generate traffic here. I am open to suggestions.

Time, promotion, more time, promotion, more work, promotion, more time.

You just have to keep building up your audience.

And portfolio. It makes a lot more sense to spend a lot of time marketing 500 great images than 25.

develop a style people can recognize first. create themes, make more work.

Art Prints
you have to fix the crop on this. oddly its only being sold as a bag. this should be scanned it has glare as well and its not sharp.

you have hardly any keywords, no one will find you.

Photography Prints
this isn't printable at all. always present your work in the best possible way. it should look like the original.

make things that are targeted for certain kinds of people. while i am now seeing an evil theme - you'll have to look for people that will want it.

your bio suggests that your a creative writer, but your descriptions and lack of keywords suggest you aren't. knowing what classes you took really won't help you much.

you can't register a site like this, because its a subdomain of a site that's already here. you should be on twitter. being on different pods might help, but you need to build up more work and get better pictures of your work. i typed your name at zaz - i don't see you there at all. be sure your name is the same every place.

bing won't get you more views, advertising will

this message is for Mike Savad. I am a self-taught artist, and I paint pictures of our beautiful amazing galaxy and universe. Sometuimes of Nature too on our planet.
I am on Instagram, under blrsmucker, I have a Facebook acct, I have a blog on Wordpress, under watercolorbo56.wordpress.com, and I also have some images posted on Pintrest.
You seem knowledgeable about how to start out being recognized. I have looked on the Internet about artists that focus on astronomy and have also researched places where astronomy art could be displayed. I have not had very much success in finding people who show art in this area. That could be good, or bad, not sure. But I love painting it. I would appreciate any advise you have to give. Thanks! Barb

there just isn't that many people that are into space. and those that are, download free nasa images. i can't take over this thread though, the only thing i would change is that blurry eye avatar which is kind of creepy. your images are too blurry to view, even if someone wanted the original, its too blurry to view. your also not charging that much. abstract art is hard to sell despite what you call it. you have to seek people out. but for now, invest in a scanner.

Thank you for the advise. I took the pictures off, joined Twitter, contacted some galleries, posted some videos on YouTube, changed my bio, and more. I still have notsoldanything, but I think I am on my way.

I like this one, Regina:

Art Prints

Very cute and unique.

EDITED TO ADD: But it's a shame the elephant's left ear is cut off. Is it that way in the original?
