No Sales

I have 30 images for sale since November 2014 and has no sales until now. I have uploaded the minimum amount of images just to "sense" how things goes here. Any idea why and how promote my sales?

Here's some very useful info Mike Savad wrote about tips for marketing your art.

How are you marketing your work to date?

Very nice photos but unfortunately nothing different than the tens-of-thousands out there. A little difference can make a big difference.

you can't do a minimum, and the min is 25 well the max anyway.

you need to upload way more. have you been advertising?

your work is nice, but your style is all over the place.

i think this could sell if the horizon was a little straighter, and you advertised it. it only has 4 views and that's probably us looking. you can't just upload and expect people to find it. and wait a whole year in between. you have to upload a few hundred things or more. be certain to mention where this place is - people buy things on location.

in a normal store, if you only had 25 things for sale, you would be out of business. you have to have a variety of things and then tell people about it.

try not to clip the boat on the bottom, small things like this may prevent a sale.

redo your bio. it's wordy and doesn't cover what you sell. not many care about your history or quotes. you mention camera over and over, but once you use filters on the work to make them look painted - they aren't straight photos. and if these are images as your camera sees them, the camera has issues. the rest seems more like a sales pitch. simply explain your process and what you sell. so google can find you. and last, get a better avatar, you looking confused in a dark room on a chair in a messy room - is not good professional appearance.

Just go to the top of the page and type marketing in the search discussions box and hit the button. You will get more information then you will be able to read. Most of it will be worthless, but some of it will be great information.

The is nothing wrong with haveing a multitude of "styles". In fact several of the top sellers on FAA have a huge variety of images and styles and including a mixture of photography and painting. Giving buyers choices is a good thing.

And remember, whatever you do, you need to do it with the intention of being seen OUTSIDE FAA. Being seen inside FAA will do you little if any good at all.

Market, market, market. OUTSIDE of FAA. It takes a LOT of effort on your part to BRING people here. And let's face it, even THEN you might not make many sales. It's all about having something someone wants and finding that person. If your work is similar to thousands of other artists it becomes even more challenging. My first sale was 22 months after I joined. Good luck!

This is nice....

149 views on all of your images since joining tells me you uploaded and have done no promoting outside FAA at all. To sell, that has to change.
