Does anyone know what type of duck this is? I was thinking a juvenile female mallard, but not sure. Thanks!

Looks more like a Gadwall duck. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Gadwall/id

That does look similar, Pamela, but not sure it's a Gadwall. I just posted it on FB for some of my wildlife photographer friends. I'll see what they have to say, also. Thanks!

Definitely not a mallard. Its shape is similar to a ruddy duck, but the colors are different.

Female blue-winged teal would be my guess. Blues are much smaller than Mallards but have no size reference to say for sure.

Female Northern Pintail is my best guess.
