Strange Photoshop Problem

I have been experiencing a strange, and very annoying problem with Photoshop lately.

When I use the ctrl+e shortcut to move an image from Lightroom into Photoshop, it opens in Photoshop, but then begins an infinite loop of opening over and over again.

Does anyone know what is causing this or have a solution?

sounds like something is corrupted. what version are you using? are you in adobe cc and using photoshop that way or an older version?

Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6. I guess I will check for updates on both and if that fails reinstall.

i thought ctrl e was combine layers. try reassigning the key, maybe there is interference with something else?

I don't use Lightroom, but presumably there's some way of giving the command through a menu instead of using a keyboard shortcut? Try doing that to see if it works.

@Mike - I also use ctrl e to combine layers in Photoshop.
