Missing Pics

Can't edit size,price,or if original for sale either. Anybody experiencing the same?

Yes, I am missing my "Shadows" picture. Not sure what is going on.

My "Shadows" picture is back today....

Yes I am and have been for more than 3 weeks. I have sent 2 Tech Support requests for help over this period, also posted a discussion of my own and posted replies to other discussions, yet no response from TS.
My problem concerns the number of images shown per page when selecting images for a contest.
While members have informed me that xx times number of pages = total images, the number of images displayed and counted is 5-10 images below what it shoud be. Yet when you use the "keyword" the image appears, when you view the position of the image in the Gallery the return to the contest image posting page and view that page, the image is not there.
My "workaround" is to get image via "keyword" and insert image into contest from there.

Still not resolved as of this morning. @Dan, 3 weeks is a long time. Also alot of work to create new files in place of old ones.

I know Wayne but when you get no constructive feedback from Tech Support and when I posted a "discussion" about it it became a "flamethrower" about ineptness....so I will wait..all I/we can do I guess! The files are still there Wayne it is just they are not displayed they way they should be. I see others with similiar complaints.

Dan, I just changed one image and it now shows up but Edit changes don't take effect such as price,for sale,etc. Don't want to replace the rest so will have to wait.

Maybe you've answered this and I missed it. But you are hitting the Submit button after editing, correct? And you may need to hit F5 a few times afterwards, too.

We all know there are various glitches going around on FAA, too. It might be that when this new site makeover gets done -- if it really ever gets done -- all the glitches will end. My advice to anyone about any issue on FAA lately has been to wait and give it a while. Most of the time they sort themselves out. I know a few months ago I had some missing images and it scared me to death. I think I stressed out for a few hours... until they showed back up with all views, faves and comments intact.

I just noticed that I'm missing some. They are blank boxes with a little question mark. Do we have to reload them?

Now when I click on some of my photographs to enlarge them nothing shows up, the photo is gone! If you go to my page and click on the first picture "Going Home" nothing is there!!! Whats up with that!

That's what I'm experiencing. You can see the thumbnails on the activity page but if your in the profile page, it shows a box with a question mark, and then when you click to enlarge, the picture is not there. They've been missing for at least 3 days that I'm aware of (may be longer). I've been waiting, but I think I'm just going to try to edit and reload the pics at lunch time to see if that works.

If you do this on your lunch hour, Jennifer please let us know if that works. Thanks.

I will. I just counted 10 that are missing. Most of them are my most popular too.

I edited some of them and they stayed up at least shortly. Try leaving out the price on the largest size. Nothing shows up on the original pricing and availability though.

Did you re-upload the image or just edit? I was going to try going to edit and then upload new image. That shouldn't erase the existing comments, etc.

Yes Wayne!! And what concerns me is that Tech Supprt will NOT respond to any request for help. My initial request for missing images was 3 weeks ago, then another last week and still no response yet "turn around time" is way past due to any TS ticket.
Even had a discussion posted..but heh according to 1 it was me despite all the members expressing same and/or similiar complaints.

The image display is different everyday but the same result...less than the number of images displayed per total images per page. The only thing that works for my problem is using the "keyword" to enter image into a contest.

I keep getting responses that it is a "server problem(in Discussion or email"). Maybe it is time to get a new server or upgrade the existing for us the paying clients.

Ok, so I went into the edit Photo and re-uploaded all the missing images. It was a pain doing them one at a time, but it seems to be working so far. I've checked on a couple different computers. Doing it individually saved the comments, likes, features, etc. It appears all the missing images I had, were ones that did something with on Friday. I either edited them to add a feature in the description, or I submitted them to a group. Could be different with everyone else, but that's what happened with me. Good luck to you.

Abbie - I'm missing several pics again. This time, the only way I discovered it was when I clicked on the photo to see the main photo page. The photos are there in Profile (Gallery & Images Page), but not there when you click to view the photo. I'm re-uploading them but wanted to let you know. Getting time consuming having to reload pics when I could be uploading new ones.

I still have some missing. I had to upload some as new to get them to work. A couple I had to rename as well and or change something such as price etc. Hope it gets resolved soon!

Okay, they are showing up now, but they wasn't 10 minutes ago when I last checked. I reloaded them an hour ago and that didn't work. But it's showing up now. Isn't that they way it works. When something is wrong it works fine when tech looks at it. lol. Thanks.

Actually this may be your browser cache

either log off, clean out the history and then come back, or
press F5 a few times when on the page that is not refreshing

Yes Jennifer..that IS the way it works! Still awaiting TS response from 3,2&1 weeks ago. Not very courteous not responding. LOL
