use as a mouse, it's really clumsy and slow. and ideally you don't want a large one or you'll be moving your arm too much. without it, i couldn't shade in the details. i like the circle area where i can change my brush size, but hate the buttons, partly they turn off sometimes and partly they are hard to remember what they do, my old one had different shaped buttons, these are too small its annoying. but the "paper" part doesn't wear out. my old one chipped after a while and i had to replace it with lexan. this one felt like a chalk board at first, but i've polished an area where my hand rests, and i only use a part of it for sketching.
after you use one for a while, its easy to use. if your going from a mouse to that, i know some people who have a really hard time adjusting. where the pen is, that's where it is on the screen. where as a mouse, you can just move the arrow where you need to, there are no coordinates. just don't lose the pen, it's expensive to replace. i also wish it came with a fatter one. this one is much smaller than my last one.
