Shipping Package Dimensions, How Should I Know?

So there's an online gallery I'm uploading my art to sell originals only with. It's asking me for shipping dimensions of the package I would send said art in if it sells and it won't let me upload the original painting for sale until I enter in the shipping dimensions....how am I supposed to know what those dimensions would be? I have 50+ pieces for sale so what should I do to figure this out? Add a couple inches to the dimensions of the piece itself? Help would be greatly appreciated.

You need at least 2 inches all around for canvas. If you are going to package yourself, then you will have to work with premade box dimensions from the shipper or build them yourself.

I would take a few of varied size somewhere that ships that stuff and consult with them.

That way you could figure out the size, packaging, materials and probably the total cost for it all or at least something to use as a guideline.

Okay thanks guys, I will go to the store soon with a few pieces and see if I can learn more about shipping on the web. Do you think if I'm off by an inch or 2 in this website's shipping dimensions that it'll be a big deal or can I just estimate?
