Facebook

I was wondering what people think is best with making a page for selling your artwork on Facebook, do you create a separate page with new email address or do you make another page from your main page, i have made one from my main page but i cant seem to get it to work correctly and when i share from here it will only do it from my main account and not my photography page.
Also any one here ever paid for a boost ? or the daily advertising.

I used to have a photography page and paid for advertising several times. I did receive more followers but they were from Outside the US. I've read that people are paid to click and follow, then you never see any interaction. Not worth the money at all. It's best to build a true fan base. Also, unless your followers opt to see all your notifications they will probably see very few. This is the reason I no longer have a Facebook page. The % of people that see your posts is extremely low. Before I shut it down I had almost 3,000 followers but less than 100 were seeing my posts. When I paid for a sponsored ad to show up on newsfeed a that number increased significantly but rarely resulted in a follow.

To get your posts from FAA to show up on your photography page you need to make sure you're signed into your account and active on the page.

I created a page off of my personal timeline, I thought that was the best way for me. Regarding paying - **Don't** pay for likes, this is a waste of money, if you want to pay to boost your post you can, not sure if it's worthwhile, I don't.
Join as many FB groups as you can, artists groups and any groups that link to the subject of your art and share your posts to those groups

I have a page also. I post one link from FAA every day. That's all. I belong to groups but I don't like to spam the feeds with my FAA links going to several groups, so I stick to posting to my page. I sometimes will sponsor a post. I pay a minimal amount for Facebook to do the work for me.

I post FAA links manually because I don't want links posted automatically every time I upload here. That's a good way to get unfollowed.

Recently I've started to post framed images to my FB page, I thought it might give the perspective customer an idea how it would look on the wall. I share each post to about 20 groups over a period of a couple of days, I find this gives me the greatest reach.

Scott;

Surprisingly, a lot of folks have started discussions on Facebook and artists pages. You should do a search of the discussions. Most everything you asked has come up dozens of times.
