It is a good piece of trivia about Leonard Nimoy and the Priestly Blessings (May the Lord bless you and keep you...) is used by many religions, not just Judaism.
These blessings are said in many congregations still today by descendents of the priests and they still use these hand gestures....

I think I remember our pastors saying the same words about may the lord bless and keep you. I was apologizing for posting a second post about it. By the way your painting is beautiful and very meaningful.

Thank you. No need to apologize. This painting was a commissioned piece for a gentleman in New York about 3 years ago. He is a descendent of the High Priests and is in the process of commissioning 18 artists to do their interpretation of the group of blessings. The collection will ultimately be donated to the Jewish Museum in New York by the family.
