Problem With Edited Image

Has anyone experienced this? I have uploaded an edited image of my abstract dog rose and although the image has been accepted (I can see the uploaded version under the green square) the top image is still the old version. I have uploaded four times, used new file names, but the top image remains the same. Any ideas why?

It is changed on the site, but your internet cache is active.

Sorry Thomas, but I haven't a clue what that means.

Re-load your page a few times....that should fix it.

I just logged out, searched for the image: the new version comes up but when I click on it, the old image is still there. Weird

Re-loaded, Joy. Still the same. It's several days since I uploaded. I thought maybe it was a 24 hour thing - but nope.

Clear/empty your browser's cache. Look under the browser's Help section for instructions.

What it means is, your computer doesn't download the images for a website every time you browse to it, only the first time. It caches them, so if you go back to the page it doesn't need to download them again.

Then, when the page changes, it doesn't necessarily change what you see in your browser because its pulling a local version, not the version on the site.

To remedy that, you either need to wait until you cache purges on its own, which can take days/weeks depending on your settings, or clear it yourself.

If you google "How to clear cache for XXXXXXX" where the X's are replace it with the browser you are using, you should get about a million webpages with clear instructions.

Good luck!

Have cleared cache as suggested. Refreshed the page. Image is as it should be. Thank you Susan and Thomas - your help is very much appreciated.
