Thoughts From A Relative Newbie

Hi folks. I started in June and have been busy getting about 700 images up so far here and keeping up on a few other places. I an also an exclusive contributor for IS and Getty Images, which has just combined as one organization. I must say that this site is very well set up and functions quite well (although, despite many trie, I am unable to vote in contests do I have just skipped them now. I also want to say that the talent here blows my mine. I've been trying to get through portfolios haphazardly, but I'm now many an organized concerted effort to get through those people who I am following. I have to wait until evening or I would just spend the whole day.

I sent a message recently but I don't think I did it right and only a few people got it. I am very grateful to those people who are kind and courageous enough to provide a place for us to promote our work and are so encouraging. It is an enormous job and I notice many people are understandably cutting down submissions as there are more people and more lovely works to see. I also find it a a very frustrating ordeal if you belong to a lot of groups. I was taking more and more time looking back to see how many submissions were allowed for a day/week. I finally went through and made a list that I could keep on my computer or print out and that helped. But when changes came in I missed some or didn't have time at that moment to make them.

If there is some way you could put the number in the title that would help a lot. Then I can print it out every time I am uploading and know immediately how many are allowed but I can also note as I go along how many I've used. There is room to keep track of the whole week. And perhaps it would be helpful to the sponsors to not get so many extra. I have been guilty myself a few times because I thought I knew what it was for a certain group and turned out it changed or I was wrong. I would say more extras are there by honest mistake rather than trying to get an unfair advantage.

I would like to hear others views on this as it has been pretty prominent lately. Thanks - Jan Oh - and I only looked down a short way so if there was another discussion please point me ti it.
