Faa Image Url's

I promote my images through Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc., and have noticed a problem. It seems that FAA uses the image name ("artwork title") in the URL link back to the picture, which I have found causes some problems with images that have the same name, or with images that are moved around within a gallery. When clicking the link on such images in these promotional sites, either the link goes dead or another image with the same name can show up instead.

I've tried to work around this by manually changing the link, to the entire gallery, which I thought had a permanent web address. (Less effective but still bringing a customer to my images.) Today I noticed that the URL link to one of my galleries has changed as well.

Any advice? Other artists sites seem to have unique web addresses assigned to each image, and I'm wondering if FAA shouldn't do the same thing.

I've noticed many problems in and out of FAA when I have different images named the same. Therefore, I don't have different images named the same anymore. Other than that, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. The links to image pages are all different if the image name isn't the same.

Are you using FAA or your Artist Website? I have quite a few images with the same titles and I don't have a problem.

Yeah, repeating the same name for pieces is a bad idea for links, and in general anyway.

In my experience, each image does have a unique URL which can found in the html code on the page for the image. When there are multiple images with the same name, the site sticks a number at the beginning of the title to distinquish the two URLs.

As an example, I have several images titled "Route 66 Cafe". The 6 in the URL below is what sets them apart, but that number changes when images are moved around inside a gallery, destroying the outside link.

I've worked around this by numbering similar images (Route 66 Cafe 2, Route 66 Cafe 3), which is just an awful presentation, or by linking instead to the gallery in my promotional sites.

A bigger issue is changeable gallery links. I noticed today that the URL to one of my galleries changed from "http://frank-romeo.artistwebsites.com/art/all/route+66+bw/all" to "http://frank-romeo.artistwebsites.com/art/all/all/all/route+66+bw". This negates all the manual changes I made in the promotional sites back to my gallery.
