Hi Vaidya. First thing to do is go into "Behind the scenes" and make sure your Social media buttons are activated. They are off right now.

If you already have a Pinterest board - then you just go to your image here & hit the " P" button. Your name, image, price , & title will already be on the Pin - all you have to do is add a few keywords so that people can locate it.

Best wishes .

I would say to first use a Business Pinterest account. Then you will get Pinterest Analytics showing you your most liked, repinned posts. Second, make sure to post things other than your own work. Post what you like. Have a look at my boards. https://www.pinterest.com/JeanMooreArt/. Out of 49 boards, I think three are about my stuff. The rest is what I like.

Since I've a business account which Pinterest asked me to change to from a personal account, one because I'm offering my work for sale and because I'm getting so many organic follows and repins. This last month they have asked me to try their beta promotional pins. And yes I am going to test out the promotional pins.

Jean They sent me the same on the promoted pins and I have yet to experiment with them.

I'm sure they have sent out to quite a few businesses about their beta promotions. I just set up my first promotional pin today. Waiting for the approval.

as far as i can tell you have to have to pay in some way. and anything like that can be so easily faked.

Sure is Mike. How much you want to spend is up to you. Free marketing will only take you so far. Most serious artists also have some kind of budget for artist materials, business cost, etc. In my opinion you should have a budget for online marketing especially if you are trying to have the majority of your sales come from the internet.

As I said I'm testing right now not necessarily promoting for the ultimate sale.

Pinterest tip - Try to find popular community boards to pin/repin to. "The RE-PIN Exchange" is one example. Some of my pins have gone viral through these community boards. I know for a fact a nice percentage of my sales are a result of Pinterest.

Can I get my images to post on my pinterest after i am done editing them on FAA?

(somehow i dont see the option to do so as i do with FB or twitter) - my "sharing buttons" are all checked..

One of my most popular pins is one for a recipe on how to make snow ice cream.

FAA will only auto post to FB and Twitter. Noa, you have to manually post to Pinterest and the other social networks.

Jeffery, I'm going to start pinning more how-to and DIY pins soon. Reading my analytics today I found out my audience is interested in DIY home decor.

if i'm paying for anything it would be google, not pinterest. but i don't pay, and don't plan to unless i really have to. there's too much clutter on pinterest for it to really be effective.

and now that it's monetized, i wonder how that plays against all the copyright violations they have.
