Artist/photographer Profile Vs Galleries Profile

Hi everyone!
I'd like to ask your opinion about the best type of profile to choose. When I made my account on FAA I chose artist/photographer profile, but in the meantime I noticed a lot of people use the other option of "Galleries". I suppose "gallery" option has one advantage at least, having only one page full of categories, while in my case, I cover so many pages with my works and the result might be a bored visitor who quits by the time he/she reaches page 2 or 3 :)
Is there any logic in what I'm saying? ... by the way... sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

I always thought Galleries was for actual art galleries/dealers.

Hmm, I see. Thank you for your answer, Valerie. I guess my choice was right after all. :) But I hate having so many pages, almost no one has the patience to reach the end.

@ Marian use the "Galleries" option if you are an actual art dealer or brick and mortar Art gallery.

Of course, if you fit in either genre of Fine Art (Photography or Other) in addition to your craft, and you actually "own your own Gallery" feel free to open a second account under the name of your art gallery.

Hope this helps

Thank you, Thomas! But could I be able to switch the account types? I mean keeping this one but reorganizing it in a few major and distinct categories?

I'm a little confused. Part of the question seems to be about account types -- Artist V. Gallery and in that way, Thomas is right. But then you keep mentioning people not having the patience to reach the end of so many iomages. That makes it sound like you're asking about the default view on your page and if it should be Images or Galleries. With 243 images, you probably do want to switch default view to Galleries to make it easier for folks to find what work they are most interested in.

I don't understand either! Marian already has his work organized by galleries. It's up to you Marian. You can default on galleries if you want.

By the way, you are VERY talented!

Only use a GALLERY account if you are either a brick and mortar gallery OR you have a group of you all uploading to the one account

Otherwise please use an ARTIST account, for the solo artist

On the top right menu, when logged in to http://fineartamerica.com or Pixels there is a drop down with everything you need for the site

BEHIND THE SCENES is for all the tools you need to set the site up and PROFILE is where your site is.

At this time you are searching for DEFAULT SETTINGS to set an ARTWORK GALLERY as the landing page

On the new premium sites it's a bit more complicated

Log into the premium site
If you are using the basic Version #1 then you do not have to do anything as you have just changed it already in default settings on FAA by following the above instructions
If you are using the brand new site (VERSION #2 which you can see in your BEHIND THE SCENES) go to
Edit Website
Homepage
Tab Menu

Just wondering,

Is it OK for a group of artists, to be listed in the "Artist/Photographer" category?

Edit:

Since this thread has been closed, I surmise that my question has become moot
