some images can look the same if the photographer lacks vision and creativity. a straight on version of the eiffel is boring. having that building in the background to show location of the bistro, with the lady eating a pastry, holding a small dog with a beret, would make that shot far more interesting. provided you can find it. or care to look for it. that's what sets aside a good one from a bad one. the good one goes out of their way to get the shot, and a bad one gets off the bus, shoots something with a newspaper sized tablet and then gets back on.
in the case of the horse, all i wanted was a long face. and i saw what looked like a smile, fired 3 off really fast, and got one that smiled. i felt bad because i didn't show the horse after.
