Exhibit 224 And Big Eyes
Seems to be a lot of movies about artists these days. I just noticed a new Tim Burton movie coming out about the painter behind the Big Eyed children paintings from the 50s and 60s. I remember seeing these as a kid. Great cast and I love Tim Burton's quirkiness.
Exhibit 224 refers to the moment in the trial when the husband attempted to prove that he painted the paintings.
"Big Eyes is a 2014 American biographical drama film directed by Tim Burton, starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz. The film, focusing on American artist Margaret Keane (Adams), whose work was fraudulently claimed in the 1950s and 1960s by her then-husband, Walter Keane (Waltz), tells the story of their heated divorce trial wherein Margaret accused Walter of stealing her paintings."
