Sub-domains For New Aw And Old Links?

I am in the process of setting up V2 of my AW and planning on creating a subdomain on my website for it. I currently have 'Art Prints For Sale' as a page on my wordpress website (http://michellewrighton.com), but there is the rare glitch with images that have to be scrolled to be seen so the ability to make it a sudomain is wonderful.

But...I am wondering what will happen to all the existing links all around the web (twitter, pinterest, facebook etc) that have the current AW url? Normally when you set up sub-domains you have total control of what points where and re-directs, but I am not sure if this is the case with AW as we do not have access to the real back end of it?
