New Product Idea: Artist Papers? Paper Packs?

I was just wondering whether or not Fine Art America has considered offering Artist Paper Packs as a product choice. They could be offered in a number of different ways - single sheets, packs of 10, 20, etc. The size could be standard 8 1/2 x 11" since that seems to be the most popular for handmade papers & Artist papers. This might be a good way to introduce customers to the site since the price points would be fairly small. This would be especially great for abstract artists, "background" artists, etc. in my opinion. The downside of course is that the profit to the artist would be very small, especially if offering single sheets, however it may bring in a slew of new customers. Crafting and art is very popular right now and the handmade artist papers section of my local store is always emptied quickly! Some artists may not want their artwork manipulated in any way (if purchased to make cards, collage, scrapbooking, etc.) so I would include an opt-out feature. Just a thought. Thanks for your consideration!

Sounds like Esty. But I suppose you could sell just about anything as an original. Some people jewelry here. Or least they did.

We're not allowed to mention other PODs here, but in general than there are almost unlimited derivatives that you can make your art in. It's part of your job in marketing your art to find the suitable venues for your art. But I don't think we necessarily want all forms of our art on one site. There's an advantage to going with different PODs that specialize in one area. This is the thinking behind the introduction of pixel. So besides the issues you've mentioned above than artist paper PODs are already plentiful and may not be profitable even if fitted FAA's niche.
