Text On Back Of Greeting Cards

Can the text on the back of a greeting card be changed?

Apparently there are no options other than the URL of your 'artist web site'. I don't want that URL - I want to use my own domain name.

But I assume the answer is NO.

The text can't be changed as far as I know. I ordered greeting cards recently from elsewhere, and it was possible to add a line of text plus an image on the back. I can't say where it was done though here due to new regs.

I'm afraid not, Jim. I've ordered greeting cards in the past and just placed an order yesterday. Irrespective of whether they are ordered from the AW or from FAA your own domain name won't show up, at least it didn't on the ones I received. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised and told that it is indeed possible, but guessing not. Abbie? JC? Any input?

Cheers!

At least, the AW (our Artist Websites domain) should show up, not FAA. That is part of what we paid for, right? There is already an FAA logo and url that appears on the back of the card, then under that is the name of the artwork with our name under that. Listed last is our FAA address, which SHOULD be the AW -- not FAA. Some members do not have an AW because they have the free account, but the rest of us paying members should not be penalized for that.

Unfortunately being stuck with that AWS URL on the back is kind of a deal breaker. And the price is a full dollar more than [Another Supplier].

Jim, the AW does not show up on the back of my cards! Here is what mine reads:

patricia-strand.fineartamerica.com

It should read:

patricia-strand.artistwebsites.com

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding. Until I get my own domain, I want to direct people to the AW, not FAA. FAA is for internal use -- our AW is for customers.

You're right, it's not the AWS link, just my profile page on the standard FAA site, and sadly my URL stars with a "1" and a hyphen.

So, even worse than I first thought. It kind of boggles my mind that after all the hoopla about the customizable, personal AWS that's such a great sales tool, I can't even get that URL on the back of a card. And what I really want is my own domain's URL.

So unfortunately FAA is not going to be my card supplier.

The AW link DOES show on the back of your cards if you purchase from the premium site

The domains you link do not show as yet

If you need the AW link changed itself to lose the number, let me know in support and we can do that for you with something new

Last month I had several of my cards made into greeting cards and used the back for an artist statement and my URL. I was so pleased that the printer did not add their logo to the back of the card. I like the look and so do the folks who have purchased them. The base price here was too high in order for my client and I to make a profit.

Ok I understand now that if I'd ordered off of my AWS I'd have gotten that URL.

But even if I could get my own URL on the card - the first thing anyone sees is that great big color FAA logo, and the FAA URL, right in the center. The logo is bad enough, but sending my buyers to the FAA main page is a total non-starter.

I guess FAA just isn't interested in supplying products for resale. Too bad, because the print quality was fine.

I would not want a logo other than my own on my cards I use for re-sale. One reason on top of the base price FAA was not an option as a printer. It would be nice to see a bulk price too for folks who want to order more than 25 cards. Businesses order their holiday cards for instant would order far more than 50. At that quantity as a customer I would expect an additional discount.

I ordered my Christmas cards from... and my cost was .41 cents with envelope. So my decision to not use FAA was purely financial. I'm unemployed so it comes down to cost. Second is quality, (I was quite happy with results 5x7 folded) and I have complete control on what prints on the back and they offer either canned text inside or custom.

Back to FAA... Let me know what of these FAA will meet or exceed.
