Limited Time Promotion?

How long does it take to register into the system? For instance, I started a LTP yesterday. So, today, I clicked on "Shop" and then "Limited Time." I then scrolled through all 19 pages. I did not see my promotion anywhere. Is this another random thing, like sponsorships?

I am just curious how it works. I am of course promoting this LTP outside of FAA.

Thanks.

I think it takes a while to show and also may be more random. No guarantee those type of limited promotions sell either, but worth trying! Good Luck!

I did a couple of those and was never able to find my listing either. I was expecting to be pretty far back in the lineup but never did find the announcement. It was particularly frustrating to see that many of those that were featured were expired offers. I posted the announcement on twitter and fb but did not get any sales from it.

you have to direct people over there. if the system hasn't changed since last i used it, even stuff not for sale is still on the top. and i bet its sorted by people who sell the most as well. i never got those to sell for me. people didn't like the image when i was selling it, maybe i got greedy or maybe the size was wrong or they didn't want canvas. but you have to direct people to your image. i don't know how many buyers know to go there now. it was more obvious a while back.

Mary, oh, yea... I was not looking for a guarantee. I just figured in the LTP there are just over 600 images... versus other areas where there are 10,000 and counting. But when I looked through them all, and didn't see mine, I figured I was gipped into thinking it would even be there.

But when I click on a sort, to further search for it, I did "recently commented on" and there mine was on the 1st page. I tried other sort features like "recently added, votes, etc." but came up with zip. I am trying to learn the system.

Bob, yes, I was expecting to be on the last page. So, I went backwards to find mine. But no luck, until I sorted like I mentioned above. I can't remember if this was a premium perk. Would be nice if the LTP were not manipulated in some way.

Would be cool if FAA placed them by time ending... but that is just me not making sense again, ha. I guess if they did, everyone who did not mind compromising their prices for a short time would do it... creating it to go from 600 to 10000.

Mike, yeppers. I went outside of FAA to direct people with the link they provide. And not just FB and twitter, but other means that I have been working on and implementing. Guess I will see if it works or not. Yes, I caught that the sizes were all different. I did the one of my bell tower, not realizing the size, and when I looked at the thumbnail the top of the tower was gone... I was like oh no no. I changed the size and it fit.

Well, just working all the angles and was curious. You guys have helped me a bit :) TY!

I'm curious how it went, Sandra. Did any of the outside promotion you did help? I'm running a LTP myself (starting today:)
Thank you!

Hi Ning,

This was posted a long time ago; So, I've down four LTP since then. And I can find myself easily there now. Usually I am on page 10-12. I still haven't sold anything here :) but trying is better than not trying. Just make sure you let everyone outside of FAA know that you have a promotion going (ie. FB, Twitter, etc). Good luck!

Thanks Sandra! I have just sold one! Very excited (my first sale on FAA). I think LTP makes a lot of sense...because it lowers the price without lowering the artist commission. FAA offers discount for printing/processing so why not take advantage of that? I am running 3 promotions simultaneously and just set up a gallery for photos currently in LTP. I would like to run 3 simultaneously all the time, if I can manage it (timewise:)

Good luck for you too!
