New To Faa And Pod Would Like Feedback Please

I am new to the site and using the basic functionality thus far. I have been reading a lot of discussions around advertising and selling. However it would be great if you could critique my photographs to see if there are potential sales behind or if I am just wasting my time dreaming on selling some of my work. I am not sure about pricing, I might be high. I have been having visitors, in fact a few of them at the beginning but after a few days I noticed it slowed down significantly. I am open to put 30.00 dlls in order to post more photographs in the site but I would like to get some expert opinions first. My bio is due.
Thank you in advance.

Photography Prints Love this work, need more Tag words, Tag words are very important, it is a way that your work can be found, If you do not have that tag word, you are lost is the jungle with millions of others.

It's a marathon... and a really long one at that. Don't expect sales to come quickly; don't get frustrated. A quick glance at your work tells me you'll do fine here. Keyword relevantly as much as you can. Add as much quality work as possible.

Thank you both. There is hope. I agree, need to review tags and get more into it.

Art Prints
this is very noisy, they probably won't print that until the sky was cleared up - tags - add: swimmer, swimming, swim club and anything that has to do with swimming including the stroke. mention black and white and your name.

Photography Prints
make sure it's really someone else's graffiti and not a wall art improvement project. the line is fuzzy if your allowed to sell someone else's art or not. its a bit dark and crooked though. would look better if someone was walking by it. always add as many keywords as you can. this should have urban for example

oh and increase the price of a card with that price you'll only make a dollar or so, but it's only an inch smaller than the smallest print.

Art Prints
i'm not sure who the market is, but try to figure out more keywords.

be sure to advertise yourself or no one will see you.

Sell Art Online
don't call this a museum, it takes away from the magic and tells others where to go to compete with you. ominous looking building, be sure to get other angles for use for clipart in the future.

overall you don't seem to have a theme going which will make it look much more random. try to upload things in a series to provide more choices. you'll always get bots at first, but you have to promote your own art. you won't really be seen in the search until you can get sales. unless you can narrow the market down to something people don't have. be sure to add a bio. something to the point that describes the things you do (art) that is.

internally, join groups, do the contests, be in the forums and post like crazy.

add keywords and such.

get onto twitter and the like, and gain followers. each thing is a game and it takes time. be sure to hashtag your things as you send them #swimmer #swimClub etc. as you do that you can gain followers as well.

IMO........Don't waste your time with groups and contests. That is marketing to other artists. Sales are the metric on which search positioning is truly measured.

IMO go out into the real world, use your artists website, and find people interested in buying art. Focus your efforts on them.

Generating your first few sales yourself is key to getting off the ground. As said above, marathon not a sprint.

There are lots of ways to do it here, I am a proponent of keeping your portfolio trimmed to successful and powerful images that have art appeal. Others will tell you to post everything that is good. IMO this site is about having things people want to decorate their walls with. Some of your work there I see better focused to stock...like the workout or yoga images. Some of the others like "Train Station in Motion" I think could do well here.

Remember when taking images of still life.....that is FIERCE competition. How many photos of old tractors are on this site? How many of old trucks? Your work needs to be really REALLY top notch to make an impact in those areas.

In other words....not sugar coating it....can you sell? Sure...you've got some nice stuff, a cohesive style, etc. Its going to take a ton of time, and alot of work to be successful. So...its like everything else in life.

Thank you Mike for the comments and recommendations again.

Thomas, you are right and it is great that there is not sugar coating it, better that way. I understand the work load behind, I looked at your photos and everyone else's work here and there is a ton of time invested and some spectacular art out there. I think it is great to have this kind of feedback in order to improve. Thank you for taking the time to look.

Thank you all for taking the time to look.
