Raw Format On Mac

I took some photos today and shot in raw mode on the sony rx100m2 camera, I shot in raw and jpeg, The photos have been transferred into IPHOTOI which is now capable of processing raw images and working with TFF format, I checked the raw image but want to edit it as a TFF format as I understand this is the best possible mode to edit in as it uses less compression, After editing I understand you can convert back to jpeg for upload for example to faa! In iPhoto the image is in raw and the only way I know to get it into tff mode is to export it for example to desktop, But I want to process it as a tff mode in iPhoto, Is there a step I am missing or is this going to be a bit of a hassle?

I have not worked with IPhoto. Does it have a save as or convert feature?

No it doesn't ,,that is one function I miss from Microsoft, Thanks for the link,,,I will check this one, I checked the other help topics to no avail, I remember seeing something posted by apple that iPhoto can accept raw images but there was some thing lacking and I cant find the topic now to discern what that deficiency is , I don't want to devote a lot of time to this endeavor if it is not warranted, I think my camera has a problem shooting in for example "Aperture Priority mode, When I try to adjust the f stops in that mode and try to focus the images look white no natter what the f stop is . I have a feeling its a defect in my camera... I had to go back to shooting in auto modes, Frustrating,,,

Closing this, I checked my setting preferences and my settings are correct and they are in raw format and automatically are processing my edits in the tff format, Yeah!!! Thx again Iris for the link too!
