Why Won`t My Photography Show Up When I Do A Search With Keywords?

I`m new to adding my photography. I just listed 2 in the past 24 hours. When I go to FAA main page and do a search with my keywords, my images don`t show up. It is so confusing which tags to pick and it hangs up my computer doing a search or reloading. When I do a search under artist using my registered name E Williams, only my original art shows up, not my photography which is in a newly created gallery. Now I feel I should delete the Photography Gallery because my image only shows up to people if I send a link on Facebook or Twitter. What happens when a prospective buyer does a search on the main page for my name, does it show all my images? My head hurts after trying to figure this out. I`m signing off to take a break from this.

Images need to be on FAA for more than 24 hours to come up in searches. If you know the names of any of those buildings, I'd add those in the keywords as well as your own name.

if your only selling original i think you have to filter that out to just that. i don't think they show up in the main search. if its not sold as a print - you'll only have a handful of keywords, as it is, you only have 5 for each one and that's hardly anything. if you want to sell it as a print you can't have watermarks, and it has to be large and clear enough for it to print. remember to add your own name in the words, and as joe said it takes 24 hours or longer to show up there.

also keep in mind that the search sorts by top sellers so you may never see yourself.

Thanks Joseph & Mike, I appreciate it. Wish I saw that in a tutorial before I spent 4 hours trying to find any images on the search. Thanks for the extra info too!

Try to imagine the size of the database and how long it must take to index. 2,500 new members today, 8,000 new images just today.

It can take a little bit for them to get indexed and show up in search.

Sometimes it takes 48 hours or so.

Another note: if you ever change out/replace an image, it has to index again and it can take the same amount of time to show up again as well.

Don't worry though. It will show up!! :)
