Faa Image Search Frustration

Several months ago I lost the ability to login to my account - (my problem, not FAA ....I was still using IE8 and now I'm on Chrome ...much better) ....and when I saw an image of a European Castle that intrigued me, I could not 'favorite' it. I should have wrote down the name of the photog or at least take a screen shot. My fault.

The point of this is ...
Just now I spent nearly an hour searching the FAA inventory of Castle photos with nothing that even came close to the one I saw.
The only elements I remember:
-it was a color photo
-it's a European castle (I'm pretty sure of this)
-the photo was shot from a nearby hill top looking slightly down on to the Castle
-the surrounding hills are lush green forested
-the Castle has a unique look - the turrets are painted vibrant white and red trim with a bright blue roof
-the photog may have used post-processing such as filters or simply an HDR technique
-the Castle was not spread out but rather had a somewhat small footprint like Disney's Cinderella's Castle

This is what I remember. I am not usually so drawn to Castles other than their unusual architecture
but this picture captivated me.

I tried every keyword and combination of related words and looked through thousands of images with no luck. I then performed a Google image search for European castles and at least
found the actual Castle I was looking for and now I have a name - Burg Eltz Castle in Germany. This search took all of ten minutes.
So, I then typed Berg Eltz castle into the search box here and still no luck on the one image I was looking for. Nothing even close.
I wonder if maybe the photog didn't tag his image properly or maybe removed it from his portfolio.

Anyway, I hope our customers have an easier time than I did.
I'm not sure where my frustration is really directed :-)

I think I remember the photo you are talking about, because I remember there was a detailed story about how the photographer got that picture. The photographer's name is Jeffrey Campbell, and he has closed his account here.

Yes!
That's the one!
Thanks you guys!
I remember Jeffrey's photos. They were all very good. Closing his account would explain why I could not find the very image I remember.

Thanks again!
....mystery solved. (I like a good mystery, don't you?)

ps; the image sure is captivating for me. I think it's due in part to the vibrant colors not usually found on centuries-old Castles and of course Jeffrey's brilliant capture.
I also remember the back story on the history of the family that still owns this Castle.

I can rest now.
....until the next good mystery! :-)

Why did Jeffrey leave? Wasn't he a moderator?

Thanks for posting that, Dan! I remember really loving that image, also!!

It's like "deja vu".

The image in discussion is exceptional. And so are most of Jeffery's images.
