Artist Website Changes Are Here

The changes have begun but hopefully that's not all :-)
I am seeing some very small changes so far and wont be able to stay up for the final unveiling if it even comes this evening. Wish I had taken some screen shots last week so I would know my mind wasn't playing tricks. Do you see anything different?

I've just noticed something, and I don't know if it's new or if it was there all along and I just didn't see it. If you click on the Artwork tab on the top bar (not the Artwork/Galleries tabs) you go to a page headed All Art. Scroll right down to the bottom of this page and you see a link marked All Art. You'd expect this to lead to an expanded version of the same page, but instead, it goes to http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/all/all

I don't like this at all - it's a sneaky way of taking visitors away from my site to the main FAA site. I understood that I was paying the $30 to avoid external links. Not only is this an external link, but it's disguised as a normal link to more of my work.

Ladies, it's no different than, say, Saatchi!....they always show anothers' Art on your page...."if you like ......., may we suggest....Joe Copycat......
Let's wait and see.
There are no written FAA guarantees , to my limited knowledge.

That's the trouble, Vivian - one of the selling points of our artist website pages has always been that we were getting a space to show only our art. Otherwise, why give the money to FAA when we could have a free portfolio on any number of other sites?

Apart from that, it's the wording of the link I mentioned above that annoys me most. When you see a row of page numbers and a 'Next' link at the bottom of a portfolio page, and beside them a link marked 'All Art', you expect the 'All Art' link to expand the page to show the rest of the portfolio. You don't expect it to leave the portfolio and show unrelated work from different artists.

If FAA insists on displaying an external link on our sites, they should at least label it 'Fineartamerica' or something - and stop telling us that our $30 buys us a personal site free from external links.

EDIT (after seeing Abbie's post below):
OK, Abbie, maybe I spoke too soon. Will wait to see what Sean comes up with.

I am going to close this. Whilst changes are coming you may see erroneous things that are not on the finished look. I can tell you that SOME of the changes are in the threshold and the other will be afterwards. Please sit back and just be patient. Sean will not have things on there that will bring people back here

I am closing this so people see my last message and not start shouting about things that are in no way completed

Don't worry :)
