Creating An Faa Site For An Artist Friend

If I wanted to create a Fine Art America Site for an Artist friend of mine would I need a different email address for her or could I use my own email address? She isn't tech savvy so I wanted to help her get set up. At a later time I would teach her how to manage her own FAA site and switch the email account to hers at that point. Maybe I should just ask "what's the best way to do this?"

Thanks,

Maggie

i think it has to be a different one for each, especially for payment and such. but you can make a gmail account pretty fast.

You would need a different one unless you want to pay her from your proceeds. (Which complicates taxes but can be done.)

I think the best approach would be to get an e-Mail address first just for her. ( Google mail is great for that )
Maybe she can exclusively use that email account JUST for FAA purposes
The nice thing with the above approach, is that by using Google Gmail, you can FORWARD all incoming emails to her EXISTING regular email account.

This is done within a matter of seconds at the Google email SETTINGS >>> FORWARDING section

All incoming mail also gets forwarded to her already existing account somewhere else ( Like Yahoo, Hot Mail, whatever other existing e-mail account )

You can set up Google GMail to either KEEP a copy of the incoming emails or ERASE them from the INBOX after each forward. That way you don't have emails in two places.

( routinely use this system, but I have chosen to keep the incoming email at the 2 places for safety's sake - in case I erase by mistake - of course, you can always recover from the Trash can )

Anyway, then you can build the website based on that e-mail address, Etc - under her name and details.

Finally, you can further choose the free FAA or the $30 / yr FAA services - where you get a website space, You can further forward your DOMAIN NAME to this website address if so desired...

Eventually, you can ease her into both accounts by slowly weaning your friend into both accounts.

Then, your friend changes changes both passwords and you are effectively cut out from the circle.

:)

Thanks for your reply Carlos. I think this is exactly what I'm going to do. I already use gmail but I know my friend doesn't so I'll set her up with one and use the forwarding option. We'll start with the free site with her first 25 images and maybe move to a paid one depending on how she likes it.

I really appreciate all the responses! Thanks for your feedback!
