Watermarks

I have unsuccessfully attempted to enable watermarks. I have successfully copied my photos from the site without any attempt to purchase. I rarely sell anything (probably just lack of talent); however, suspect if people can download free, only the rarest of soul will actually purchase. Can someone give me some instruction. I am clicking on "enable watermark" and "high resolution." But I just tried to watermark the first to pics in my portfolio without success.
Thanks.

You need to enable the watermark during the upload process.

You will need to contact support to have them add a watermark to images you have already uploaded. When you set to have watermarks it will add it to future uploads but not current ones you have already on your site.

Thanks for the quick responds. I tried to edit and add them but I guess that doesn't work. How do I contact support?

Perhaps Abbie will drop in and will be able to assist you in getting the watermark added to all of your current images.

I have searched this site for technical support for artists. I only find customer support for buyers. Can anybody help me get to tech. support?

Yes the link I just posted. Select technical support from the drop down menu.

' I rarely sell anything (probably just lack of talent)"

If you lack talent then a whole bunch of us are really in big trouble!

"Your Privacy Is Safe With Us" and several of your others are nothing short of brilliant!

But if you are not selling now, the odds are you will sell less by putting watermarks on you images.

"The Wondering", "Balance", just wonderful.

Morning Shadows II is very Steve Hanks like and is just as good!

You need spend some time with descriptions and key words and then promoting OUTSIDE of FAA.

Your stuff should sell and will sell as soon as the right people see it.

Nothing wrong with you talent. Forget adding watermarks and work on key words and descriptions.

Your images all tell a story and you need to put that story in words in the descriptions so the search engines can find it. Us as many keywords as you can in the keywords box and the description.

Watermarks just get in the way...what is the point? Are we really afraid somebody will download our masterpieces for free? Please! Watermarks may prevent this, but, at the same time, they also prevent anyone from really seeing the piece--too much obstruction.

Okay that is good and as I stated perhaps Abbie will drop in as she is the lone Technical support (at least I believe that is the case) and she will be able to add the watermark to your current body of work.

Floyd,
Thank you for your kind words. I used to provide very detailed descriptions of how I achieved an effect until I started getting responses refuting my explanations. After several people essentially saying, "No you didn't;' I stopped providing descriptions. I kinda figured either you like it or you don't. I even had one guy complain that my Faerie pictures, "weren't real." I told him that while I couldn't speak for "GranPa's Faerie Pictures" - You got me. The faeries aren't real. Another guy complained that in a picture I'd submitted to a "candid" group that something was contrived because one of the figure's shadows was longer than the other - I'm sure that the one figure being a head taller than the other had nothing to do with it. Guess I'll try again. I don't seem to get many views. Maybe that is why. Thanks again.

Pleeeeeeze, let's not get into yet another debate about whether watermarks are good or bad. It's been done to death and there's still no consensus. Broken Soldier has made his decision for his own reasons. Just respect that.
