Anyway, the subject image of Al Pacino is brightly colored, but I am afraid it lacks the tension that usually accompanies expressionist tug-and-pull effectiveness. We see an image that is spotted with scattered color patches, but I am unsure as to where the eye rests, moves, or gets excited. The color scheme is largely arbitrary, not reconciled, a method that is often found in patchwork quilts and in much silkscreening. I am afraid it fails to communicate a strong artistic bite.
