and that's pretty much what we know.
most like it, except for those that don't.
there are other reviews you can find online on other sites. but you have to take them all with a grain of salt. why do you ask?

Oh, that's very good Georgia! Thank you!
I read this reviews for Fineartamerica
Gallery of artists is great. Me I loved it. There are many features and options.
But ... I can copy the pictures from the gallery. So why buy them when I can copy them.
No protection. I'm thinking about own site with watermark. Here that the watermark is not visible on a white background
Anyone had any problem with your account or password?
Hello Mike Savad! I ask because I want to publish my designs. I want to be calm for my clients and my designs
9 Years Ago
anyone that copies them had no plans in buying from you in the first place. they can do a print screen but not download the image. they are limited to a very small print, that would come out of their own printer. if they want larger, they need to buy it. you can't add your own watermark because they won't print it if you do. i never had an issue with passwords. trust me if a person breaks into this site, they will steal credit card info. its the only thing anyone would really be interested in on this site. your clients will like the site fine. customer service is a bit dicey, that's really where the complaints are. otherwise quality is high. though you will have to advertise for yourself.

Lots of reviews can be found on the internet. I research reviews about FAA. I am always looking for negative reviews (being a negative person), but so far most of the reviews on FAA have been very good.

I have purchased several times, box of cards, framed art, prints rolled in a tube. All transactions have been positive and the quality has been superb.

This is the first time I've ever seen that review page! A buyer wrote in July (I think), to say she'd sent in a review; I had no idea where to find it, then got busy and forgot to ask about it.
Thanks for asking this Cveta -- I'm filing this under 'You Learn Something New Every Day!' :-)

Where does this appear? Having the link doesn't show where it is on the FAA Home Page -- or does it? Maybe I'm not understanding correctly. Positive reviews are a selling point, but if nobody can find them, what good are they?
Agreed, Patricia. And, if they're only shown for a few days . . . :-(
Honestly, I'd never heard they existed; that's not to say I couldn't have missed that information, somewhere. Did I . . . . anyone?

Wow - I didn't know there was a page for buyer reviews on site - and with buyers' names to boot!
@ Georgia - Thank you and how did you find that page/link?

Sean mentioned it quite some time ago. I believe he said it will have a more prominent visible position in the near future.

I appreciate the question and understand why you would ask.
But like all reviews on the Internet that are, for the most part, are anonymous are at arms length, they a pretty much objective.
People that have a bad experience even when it is their own fault are fare more likely to leave a scathing review then people that have a positive experience are to writhe a positive review. That is just that nature of the beast.
I for one think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. But I stated selling almost from day one.
Some have never sold a thing and if you read the threads (and the reviews around the net, Ii'm sure) that are venting their dissatisfaction.
Now that said. If you are asking how individual members are doing, the above will apply.
If you are asking about how FAA works over all, it is nothing short of genius and it is working fantastic for the owners of FAA. The business model is excellent and one of the best of any I have seen on the net for any kind of business.
The bottom line is FAA sells a lot of art, I mean a LOT of art. But will you as a member partake in that success? No one can answer that.

To my knowledge the link is not current visible on the website (I could be mistaken), but any buyers have access to review directly from their purchase page behind the scenes.

The Buyer Reviews link was in a discussion a couple of months ago and I bookmarked it. It is always accessible and, based on my observations, shows all reviews with the newest on top.
http://fineartamerica.com/buyercomments.html
Edit: Should've said "shows the most recent 250 reviews, with the newest on top". The page never changes, just the timestamps, and new comments appear on top & the oldest age out of the 250 slots.

Those are random reviews. Never knew that existed on FAA. Wouldn't it be great if a review could attach to our own site when a print is purchased & a comment sent to FAA, which we could see.....neg or pos. , of course.
problem with them though is - they never tell you if you got one. i think it would nice to know. as well as attaching it to the image so other buyers can see it.

I'd never want a review attached to a product page; but I would like to know if I received one, to read for myself.

there is only so much protection you can put on a site. it can be taken at any place, any time. google has it right now in fact. i have it just by looking at it. if you want total protection - don't have it online. someone could buy it and scan it in - return it, and have a copy. will they? maybe, they would really have to want it.

Unfortunately, this is a part of showing your images on the web for as soon as you put images up anywhere they can be stolen. Every time someone goes to a webpage their computer puts all the images in their temp folder for example and most browsers nowadays completely ignore the "no right click" code we do have in place. Besides which, anyone who visits can screenshot the pages.
Truthfully, it is sort of hidden for buyers, too, unless they receive an email asking them to review their purchase. They should notify the seller and have it linked to from the sales past of the control panel or as its own section.

Wow. Never knew about the review page. Just found an artist in my area I had forgotten about who recently sold an image that is getting good reviews! Small world

Has anyone ever seen a review on your work? I haven't, but I see one for a friend of mine.
Also, what happened to Jeffrey?
I also did not know there were customer reviews. I looked at the reviews and found one about mine that was purchased. I wonder if it would be O.K. to copy the review and post it on my page/website along with the artwork?
I also would like to know what happened to Jeffery, one moment he was here over moderating and the next vanished, no goodbye, no kma nothing. I think there was a falling out of some kind as the last question asked about him resulted in a closed very quickly discussion.

jeff quit. simple as that. he went berserk over a post about something. and in a huff he simply quit, closed his threads, erased his account and his twitter account.

Jennie, I was thinking the same thing! Glad you found one of your reviews, but since they are random, I don't think it's anything we can rely on. I would not hesitate to paste in a buyer's remark, but to be on the safe side, I would introduce it with some kind of generic language and not give away anything that would reveal the buyer's identity. After all, we can't ask their permission, since we don't know who they are.
As to why FAA doesn't alert us to remarks made by customers, I think it is because they are selling prints, not artists. I can understand that.

Mike - that's an over-exaggeration ...he did not go "berserk." (edited comment)
@ Abbie - My apologies.

Please do not discuss Jeff when he is not here to answer you. If you wish to know about anything, please contact him on his website and he can tell you himself if he wishes to. Thanks http://www.grandkinstudios.com/

Yes Patricia you are right about not revealing the buyer's name, etc. That is a good point.
Seems buyers are using the review section to say they accidentally ordered the wrong thing, not getting things at all... etc. Is it hard to find the customer service number or email if you're a buyer? Hope the person that posted about ordering a glossy rather than matte canvas gets in contact with the right place or customer service people see it...
other than disgruntled former members who leave jaded reviews, 98% are positive I would say. especially from the art buyers. they seem really happy. sometimes they complain that they cant get ahold of a customer service rep but again we dont know the whole story.
jeffrey did not go berserk.
