Have you taken "The Tour"?

http://fineartamerica.com/tourfineartamerica/introduction.html

Your city might require a business license, check with your local reps. If you're asking about property and model releases, it may depend on what you plan on doing with the images, but generally speaking your flowers, oceanscapes and the like will not require any releases.

The free account allows up to 25 images in your galleries. The Premiun account ($30 per year) allows unlimited.

FAA will add a small mark-up to the final displayed price the customer sees. They pay each 15th of the month via Paypal when a sales is made.

Good luck

there is no such thing as a license as far as i know of. you do need permissions from people and property if you sell it commercially, but as fine art i should be ok.

$30 will get your your own website, unlimited uploads, i think 10% extra on frames if someone gets one, and i think a shopping cart for facebook. mostly your stuck at 25 images for basic.

either account you will get the amount you mark up. you want a $100, you get a $100. don't forget to advertise yourself.

I can post different photographs ;such as flowers ,the ocean, and even the public park near the ocean and wouldn't need nobody's ok is that correct.Although i would like to know if there is a way i can put my name at the bottom of the photographs that I post and sell.Since this website is free, can i cancel at any time if i don't think i am not selling enough if I pick the free package?

Yes.

As long as your name it not too big and tastefully done so that someone would want to purchase, not a problem.

Yes, you can close at any time.

now what if i dont want to do the credit cards for as payment just paypal;is there a special way i do it in paypal in other words where do i go ?im new to paypal

In order to receive any payments from FAA on sales you'll need to set up a Paypal account. That is the only option, I'm afraid. If you decide this is for you, establish your Paypal account and enter the payment e-mail on your Behind the Scenes panel. FAA process the credit card transactions on your behalf.

Behind the Scenes > Accounting > Payment Information.

they pay to your paypal account, that's the only choice -- they handle the transactions from customer to here. you don't do any of that.

so they send a elec. invoice to the costumer that buys something from me?

The buyers simply put artwork in their shop carts here on the site. When they checkout, they pay with their credit card and FAA handles everything. Sellers receive an e-mail notification of the sale, and they can also track them Behind the Scenes > Sales.

On the 15th of each month FAA sends payments to Sellers through their Paypal accounts.

Most of the answers are here: http://fineartamerica.com/tourfineartamerica/introduction.html
Have you looked at it?
The customer buys from FAA, who sells for you. FAA does the printing, billing, shipping, etc, and you get whatever you list as your markup. You decide your own prices, FAA has their markup, but it doesn't come out of your price.

does the company get a %from what i make?

Jeffrey Campbell

Yes, Sybil.

You simply enter prices you want to receive for a sale on all the different sizes available for any particular artwork you upload. Let's say for a 16" x 20" you want to receive $85.00. FAA will add a mark-up to that - perhaps 10 percent, or so, and the buyer will see the price as $93.50. That's how FAA makes their money.

Best way to see how it works is to upload an image.

Some zoos have restrictions, others do not. It's always best to ask when you are there.

Zoos and museums may limit what you can do with their content. This can extend from non-commercial sales only to an outright ban on offering/showing their material online. Keep in mind that photographs of captive animals may not appeal to some people.

Then again National Geographic recently awarded a top prize to a photo of a tiger in a zoo. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/01/pictures/130104-photo-contest-tiger-matterhorn-kenya/
