Licensing.pixels.com

Does it make any sense to tick licensing boxes when you upload new images?
Does anyone has ever sold any licence here? I do not even where to check...

I am actually glad you brought that up. I've been wondering that myself. I have been submitting my images with the capability of purchasing a rights managed license. I figured the more ways there are to buy the better but I don't like the royalty free option. I am also curious if anyone has ever sold a license here??

Hi

To add prices for licensing images, log in as normal on pixels.com or fineartamerica.com, or any of the Fine Art sites in your domain area

Before you can set prices you have to sign in to the programme

Scroll down to the bottom of your Behind the Scenes and activate the feature

Either edit an image and set the prices then submit, or

Bulk edit which is in your BEHIND THE SCENES | Bulk Price edit

Set up future pricing in your BEHIND THE SCENES | Default prices

This option is only available on http://licensing.pixels.com and will be on the premium account shortly

This is the quickest way to explain finding it quickly. before the 24 hour update.....Go to the image and add licensing to the front of the address

so if the image was http://pixels.com/servizio-gondole-valentino-visentini.html add licensing to the front of the address, making it, instead of http://pixels. http://licensing.pixels.

http://licensing.pixels.com/servizio-gondole-valentino-visentini.html

That is just a quick way of finding images before the search is updated

Thanks Isabella and Kathleen.

Kathleen, I am adding my newly uploaded images to the licensing site, one by one...I was just curious if the deal is still on and if anyone already sold any licence...

Congrats, Jeffrey! So there is hope and it worth the submission!

Yes, Valentino, I've been selling Rights Managed licensing since 1995 and have been waiting years for a platform to sell my images like this. Doing well with it.

Kathleen, if you're not comfortable with the RF licensing don't do it. Personally, I think you're a smart lady. Learn more about that first before to dip your toes in it.

Also, if you have images with people and don't have a release, you can uncheck the commercial rights and just leave the editorial rights. RM that is.

Thanks frank
You brought up a good point. I had 2 images submitted that I did not have release forms for. I deleted them from the pixels-licensing site but it looks as if it removed them from FAA all together. I know my mistake I should have edited them images and unchecked the licensing option. I will have to resubmit them but I feel like for now until I'm more familiar with it I would prefer not to sell any image license's that contain people.

To that last part, YAY! I've been hoping for that capability for my AW.

Frank: "....you can uncheck the commercial rights and just leave the editorial rights. RM that is."

I don't recall ever seeing a commercial rights check box. I've been using a custom editorial use license. Are you saying all I needed to do was unckeck a box for that?

OK - I ticked the box - now I'm trying to figure out how much - what would you charge - do you start at $25 or $125 and go up as the size gets larger - and what would be your suggestion for the largest size - $500 or $1000 ? - I'm only doing my photographs - I'd really have to THINK about licensing my digital abstracts.

I am at 0.77 to 30 right now. It folows single on-demand download prices at microstock.

Licensing at microstock prices is here is foolish. The volume of sales isn't here. Unique artists with who have something special to offer should be aiming for rights managed licensing in the hundreds of dollars - product lines, book covers etc.

Next month I will have only 25 images here , which won´t be on my stock. So I will set higher prices and RM for them.
