Out Of My League

I am amazed at the quality of the work I'm in competition with! Have been using multiple marketing avenues and no sales as of yet! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Nice work! I can just hear Mike Savad saying "You need to upload a lot more work!" You never know what people will like, the more the better your chances of selling.

um.... you need more work or something like that.

few things, you've only been here for about 2 months, you have to advertise yourself. i don't know how many will be interested in spirals, i wouldn't have that many uploaded unless you know they sell, they water everything else down.

Photography Prints
the description is weak, tell people why they should have this. you have no keywords. 2 is pretty much none. at the very least mention - orange, rose, spiral, swirl, droste, nature, etc - you have to expand on them.

you should have a real name and not back home images because it makes little sense, and makes it IMPOSSIBLE to find you in a search because they are all common words.

you should have a better avatar, that one looks like a vacation snapshot. you bio talks about yourself but not your art. this isn't a resume, this is a place to tell people what you specialize in. google finds this. many of your images have a snap shot look to them, either with high angles or bland lighting. and far too many swirls.

Art Prints
you want to key down saturation, and make sure your buildings look straight. but how many are interested in something they can take themselves? hard to say. it would have to be interesting, taken on a stormy day or a sunset. the description should tell us exactly what building this is, and the town, and all of that has to be in the keywords - 2 isn't enough.

Sell Art Online
they will not print this with that giant watermark on the bottom, and no one will buy this on any site with that on there. the image itself, who is this for? where would you hang this in your house? if its a scene of pots it should show that without the reenactment in the background. i would lay off the dark effects on these images, it won't help it sell. good images don't have a lot of clutter in them.

your images are all over the place theme wise. the gallery has no images covers, and i'm not sure if everything is in a gallery or not. they should be. and people should start in the galleries.

mostly you have to think - who am i making these for? is it for myself? for others? someone specific? where in their house would this go? is the subject easy to figure out and is the market saturated with that subject (ducks, sunsets, statues, stuff taken mid day, etc).

after that, you need lots of images and to advertise.

Welcome BackHome.

Very nice work, - & that Quilt Swirls is pretty darned cool.

I think we all feel that way when we come aboard - for at least the first year I was certainly "over my head". But you learn.

Isn't it that way in every business ? No matter what degree you have - step foot in the door of the behind the scenes transactions, & Welcome to the real world !
Takes small bites, read the forums - & gleam advice from the experts here.

You will do fine.

Keep in mind that you are one in millions of art photographers trying to sell tens of millions of art images.
