Discount Code Question

A lady contacted me regarding one of my paintings, wants to purchase a large print and asked if I had a discount code on it so she could afford a large one. I told her that I would do that today. The problem is that I can not figure out how to put the discount on one piece as opposed to all of my work. Can I only discount one painting print?

Unfortunately, at this time there no way to assign it to individual pieces that I am aware of. I believe you can stipulate that it can only be used one time when creating it.

You can e-mail her, come to terms with what she'll pay, make the discount code and stipulate in the process that it is limited to one time (one purchase) and advise her to use it before the expiration date that you set. Then give her the code.

My understanding is that no one will know the code unless you give it to them, therefore no one would be able to use it.

Of course, she may then use the discount code to buy a small size anyway.

Make the discount code, and limit it to only 1 code available. Then email her the code.
I did this for someone who wanted to purchase 75 copies if a print. Worked like a charm, I'm happy, she's happy, and FAA is happy.
Of course, it goes without saying, do not publicize the discount :-)

Oh, and mine was good for 24 hours only.

I've just started thinking about how to use these. They definitely look like a handy thing.

I haven't done one in a while, but am thinking about doing some aimed just for my hometown. However, when I have done them in the past, I didn't generate a sale at all. I'm considering making them much shorter in duration than before and spamming the heck out of relevant groups on Facebook.

Phylis, there are some faa coupons on the web. Google Fine Art America coupons, copy the code and apply the discount.

I just looked and there is one for 45% off, this would be off the final cost not your profit :-)

O.K., got it! Thanks for the help all. I put the discount @ 30% and emailed her the code. Lets see if she buys the print.

I have noticed a few advertising discounts in the blogs lately, would love to know if it helped in boosting their sales.
