What Are The Most Popular Subjects For Faa Groups?

If anyone knows the answer I would be interested to know and if you do not know what would you guess?

Flowers?

Landscapes?

Animals?

Or Sunsets?

Are popular subjects for FAA groups also popular subjects for buyers?

Who knows?

I don't

I don't know Geordie, there are some 3000 groups, my guess would be pretty things like flowers, landscapes, pets. I can tell you one that's not popular Metal Sculpture, I started that one and have 2 members and I'm one of them.Lol

Mario have you ever thought of having a contest with a 1000 dollar prize

That should bring welders flash to a lot of new members eyes

for groups? i think confusion for the most part.

i would say nature - which flowers, landscape, nature, seasons etc falls into.

many are confused because some only want photos, and don't say it in the title, others only want painting and don't say it in the title. i told one person that calling it animals wasn't enough if you want paintings it should say paintings. so instead she put down ART. well photos are art.

anyway, i would say

#1 - nature
#2 - abstract
#3 - animals of some kind
#4 - general art groups - no theme - actually this should replace number nature.

1000 dollars! that sounds like a vacation to the Florida keys for me. I have considered a contest with my gourmet spices as the prizes, some vanilla beans, Ras el Hanout, some curry, fine saffron, my garam masala but $1000, I'll take it to Islamorada or Maraton.

So your Metal Sculpture group is the most unpopular group in FAA?

Must be, couldn't call a group a group with no one around to tell lies.

Have you considered asking Barry to be a member

He's claims to be a good artist

Mario Carta

My other member disregarded the only rule I had which was that you must have created the sculpture and posted some nice images but I'm sure that he did not create the sculptures. Actually I tried closing the group but I was prompted to notify tech support to transfer the groups administration or some thing. Barry is a good artist Geordie.

@ Susan

I once saw a pit bull terrier tear into a bunch of daffodils on a Welsh hillside

I would say Abstract. I see a lot of Abstract groups.

I'll take your word for it Marrio.

BTW how much will it cost for you to say that about me

Or are you a 60s child and do it free

Geordie Gardiner

@ Roz

So we got Abstract in the mix
But that is nothing we cannot fix
Ask them nicely and they'll hide it
Then deny it
And argue violently
It's nothing like that at all

I am a 60's child, Geordie your a great artist too.
@Roz, I agree lots of abstracts, I scanned the groups the other day and joined several I thought interesting, not abstract though.

Geordie, the good thing about having a group with only me as a member is I can feature all my art and never get rejected.lol

Ponder this Mario

The population of the world is approximately 55% female and 45% male, what with women's rights and the wearing of trousers instead of tights then you would think that there might be 10% more women in FAA than men.

But not everything has changed so rapidly and so with so many forgetmeshot I am starting to think that the number of women here in FAA must be much greater than 55%.

Any thoughts on this observation?

Mario Carta

Actually Geordie, there are 101 men for every 100 women in the world,( population by sex ratio) according to wekipedia.

Geordie Gardiner

@ Mario

A couple of world wars and revolutions will put that right.

So for how long has the ratio been like that do they say?

Forever and a day, which must have been not long before yesterday it was the other way round. With regional differences, for example in the UK Nottingham was known as being the place in Britain where travelling football supporters would stop for a night on the pop because woman outnumbered men in Nottingham to a greater degree than anywhere else in UK.

I am in a lot of bird groups. There's a lot I am not in also. I have a lot of bird photos but never sold one here. In person direct I have sold hundreds.

I don't know about that Geordie, women play a big part in the military today, the factors are rather complicated, having to do with pesticides and birth ratios, it's actually 107 boys for every 100 girls born in the world, according to wikipedia.

https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071230121051AAE9jNC

As of July 2007, the United States Central Intelligence Agency estimated the world's population to be 6,602,224,175 with there being 3,278,616,036 (49.66%) females & 3,323,608,139 (50.34%) males.

I am going to do a little hunting and see if I can find the figures for the 1960s & 70s,

Just a thought - other than wars - heavy industry is likely to have cut a swathe through those decades and the ones before.

Well Mario I cannot find the figures but I have found information that speaks of gender imbalance in the UK during the Edwardian era, after the First World War and after the Second World and beyond.. Though I would guess such an imbalance was not as stark in the US as there were less American soldiers killed, the imbalance was also the case in many other counties

I will have to remember to check if I am repeating out of date information and in fact I will have to remember to keep well clear of such when what I am really looking for is a laugh.
