Slight Copyright Infringement

Hi,

Often looking at images that sell on here after logging in I see some "Art Works" which have sold that have a "you are going to get sued for a lot of money by a large corporation" kind of vibe.

Like the one I just saw which was a poster for a fairly well known company that sounds a bit like "Coco Koala"

Seriously how long do you think this can last before there is some kind of backlash!

With out being too specific about the exact image, this is just one of many examples I have seen on here which over steps the mark.

Or is there some special rule I am not aware of that allows this kind of plagiarism for the sake of a few print sales?

Third thread in two days on basically the same subject. In both of the other threads, someone mentioned that in ANOTHER similar thread, we were told to contact Tech Support with our concerns

Also, you were viewing the "Recently Sold" page, not the "Just printed and shipped to customer" page. There could be a difference.

this site leaves it up to the artist to police him/herself...to know what's OK and what's not...or to get away with what they can...

Type "copyright" into the discussion search box. Also you might want to do some research on the use of trademarks in art.

Ryan,

If you have any concerns about content posted to the website, please contact Tech Support. Be sure to select Tech from the Contact Us tab. This is a straw man topic that has been beaten to death, so to speak, over the past few years. There are many past threads you can search through with varying viewpoints.
