Order In Which Artwork Appears Within Gallery

Hello, I am new to Fine Art America. One thing not covered in the FAQ is how the artist can change the order in which the pieces of artwork appear on his gallery. I tried dragging and dropping, but this had no effect.

There should be three buttons underneath each image when you're on your profile page. The top button is "position" - you can use it to select the position for that image on the page. Keep in mind they start the numbering with 0, so if you select 1 it will actually be the 2nd image, and so on.

Dear John, Thanks so much for your prompt answer and your words of welcome. After reading your explanation, I realized what the problem is. I chose having my galleries come up first, rather than all the artwork. So I did adjust the order of the galleries. The software apparently doesn't let you set in order of the works in the subgroups. Is there a way around that?

Sorry, I'm newish myself so I don't know a way to get around that. I use galleries to keep things orderly behind the scenes, not on my public page.

Sylvia,

At this time there are no sub-groups. There are changes on the horizon to the website, we'll have to wait and see what is revealed.

Hi, Sylvia,

Go to your Galleries tab and click any gallery to open it.

Once inside the gallery, click the 'Edit This Gallery' button at the top of the gallery.

From there, just click on the 'Position' button in the row across from any image, then click the little down arrow and choose the new position for your image.

Hope this helps! :-)

EDIT -- Or, based on Jeffrey's response, I completely misread your question. Good times! ;-)

Thanks to all of you for your contributions. I see now where I can change the order of the pictures. This has been very helpful. This forum is really a great resource.
