A month or so ago, I asked for feedback on my images. Since then, I believe I 've taken utilized a lot of points that was brought up. I am asking once again for an honest opinion on my newer ones ( first pages on the profile page).

Are the lyrics to "Working On the Railroad" copyrighted?

On the railroad photography website http://www.railpictures.net, we would point out that this shot is very tightly cropped without much "lead room" between the pilot of the locomotive and the edge of the frame. The shot seems to be leaning slightly CCW. The fence in the foreground is not pleasing to the eye and most people expect to see the train trailing off in the distance.

The little steam engine here gets around. I shot it in Winnsboro, SC a few years ago. It's one of two little guys that travel around to different parts of the US to pull short passenger excursions. The interesting thing is that it travels by truck to get to it's destination!

Photography Prints

This won't print. When I saw the thumbnail, my first thought was it was leaning CW.When I clicked for the larger view, I realized the horizon (if unlevel) was not that important after all. One should only post their best work. As a fellow photographer, sometimes I post my *favorite* work when a critical eye would tell me to save it for my personal collection. I don't always see the difference between "best" and "favorite" when seeing my own shots.

The fireworks shots do not appear to be in focus.

Thank you for your reply Joseph. I did look up the words to the song . It seems it has been many variations of it that goes back to the 18th century. I though I understood if you didnt write the entire song and it was that long you could put it on without an issue. If you know a source that says this is nto true, please let me know. I do like the train close, the fence is there nothing I could do. Do you know how to remove it without making the train a mess. I bet it is the same train.

I will have to see about the Buck Moon not printing. I printed a 4 x 6 and thought it was fine. Yes, I dont think that is my best shot. My hubby wanted me to post it. Only some of the firework is in focus as it there was several beign shot. I thought this was a better one showing the smoke and all.

The song might be in the public domain; I don't know. It was a sincere question. I've thought about asking folks to critique my work here, but have not done it yet. I respect that you did. Take it all in stride. Photography is subjective.

Thanks Joseph - no issues on your critique. It is sibjective but we need to be reminded of whats improtant sometime. I see you like old cars.
