Do You Post Personal Opinions On Twitter?

Do you tweet personal stuff on Twitter? Or do you keep it strictly business with your artwork?

I mostly spam my followers on Twitter with links to FAA. On FB, I have a personal page where I post personal stuff (to a point, that is) at will. I also have a business FB page. I don't actually like Twitter so if they would delete my account, it would probably bother me for about half a minute maybe.

advertising my wares i like to call it, i don't really say much or someone might want to reply, and it's hard to do that, the page is too busy for that kind of thing. posting only a 140 characters are a bit limiting for that stuff anyway and i refuse to use that idiotic form of shorthand.

My facebook business page is linked with my twitter account so when I post on fb it goes to twitter. I also market a lot of mine and other's art work on it. Soon ( this coming August) I'll be using it to market the Walter Fister ( learn how to paint acrylics) book I'm featured in. Actually I'll be marketing it sooner, as soon as the marketing department starts their marketing campaign, I'll be posting, marketing like crazy. Right now I'm working on building my followers on both twitter and facebook. my personal stuff is restricted to my personal fb and even then it's minimal.

I am not a very opinionated person, so I would not use it that way.

I push my art on Twitter, plus chat with people and participate in Twitter word games. Such as today's game, which was #FiveWordBreakup. My answers:

I'm the iceberg, you're Titanic.

You're just a place holder.

I want my spit back.

Kind of fun. :)

Funny you would ask>>>or that you asked before me lol. My Profile is kind of new on Twitter. I started it as an effort to promote my photographs, since I deleted my facebook account. However, Being Easter I couldn't help myself and replied to a tweet. After it became a conversation(Religious 2 some/Spiritual2 others) I wondered IF I crossed a line sharing personal revelations. I felt that my Professional account had become sort of tainted, and wondered if it would it cost me a follower OR a possible sale.

I DECIDED that I AM who I am, and IF someone UNFOLLOWS me because I am being WHO I AM, then it IS THEIR loss, and SOMEONE else's GAIN... Kind of like the saying" One man's garbage is another mans treasure." It turned out that I ended up getting more followers for sharing my revelation...not that having a large "following" matters to me. My experience with crossing the Twitter line from PROFESSIONAL to Personal was out of a Christian conversation. I just needed to remind myself that the GIFT inside of me was MORE important than HIDING my Beliefs to STAY a Professional Photography Account.

I guess it depends on HOW you want to REPRESENT yourself...Do you care IF Twitter Followers know the REAL you? You may lose some, or gain some IF you cross the Professional Art Profile. One or two of the connections I mad may MAKE a difference in the life of on of my Twitter followers, OR someone who views a Tweet concerning me. Personally I would rather be an INSPIRATION than just someone with a Skill or Talent...but that's me. At least you thought about IT before crossing that line. I did NOT! Part of my Personality(Spiritual)

I am quite the introvert, but occasionally I will reveal something about myself.

But mostly I use it to promote my novel, screenplays and artwork.
