Makes No Sense (or Cents)

For no good reason other than they decided to put it on Explore, this photograph has almost three times the number of views in less than two days than my entire FAA account has had in 16+ months.

And, no, there's no real point to this thread. And for the record, I sent links out to the FAA page, which is a different frame, but not to the Flickr page.

The Flickr version of that shot has three times the views my entire FAA account has had. (And about 43,000 more than the FAA version.) And, of course, no sales from any of them. Just pointing out the absurdity in numbers, at least in this case.

This one has 106 views since 3/29. No big deal

But 98% of the views are from New York.

I always found that being on Explore was practically meaningless. Good for the ego but that's about it! Who knows though, Joseph, in your case it might lead to something because you have such a specific niche...maybe somebody will see it and come on over to FAA to buy or license the image.

The more people see it, the bigger the chance of someone buying it. Especially in the numbers game that is photography. And congrats on the Explore feature!
