Always nice to see an artist's workspace. :)

Thank you Christi. As you can "ascertain" I am not a great voice over but it is fun to try.

I really enjoyed the tour Kevin. Looks like you just made the video. I think you did a great job and narration. I also like your easy wall hang idea.

Good for you! Thanks for the tour. Love the gallery dog!

Jim thanks, yes I got tired of pounding in hangers. In my 2 previous galleries I used furring strips on 2 levels and could easily hammer in hangers but the movement was only left to right. This is much better and accommodates different sizes well.

Edward, he "moves" his furniture. It is funny to watch him relocate his pillow to a better vantage point.

Nat, thanks so good to see you. Your bowl is prominent in our main room and your painting is always with me in my office.

Deanna thanks for looking and taking the time to post.

Love Cromwell so much :D

You have travelled well to get musicians from so many places

You would get on with Robin. He LOVES canes and walking sticks and we have several.

What is an art party?

Now everyone knows you pronounce your name Keeeeeeevin!!!
Loved seeing an up close and personal look, thank you!
The only thing that scared me a little was the sentence that started " I like capturing women in unguarded moments..."
But, it ended well! ((hugs))

Hollywood has NOT called to have me write any scripts... and now I know why. My son Brad compares me to the painter Balthus. Well.. okay.

Isabella, we have hosted after-parties following openings. The party moves from the art venue to our home/gallery. Once in awhile we just start here, usually cocktails and appies, sometimes formal dinners with little gifts of art for each of our guests. The guests range from 8-10 to as many as 20-30. I have sold at these parties, a few small works. We like to entertain so it is a great space to do so.

Nice little video Kevin. :)

Oh yeah... because that is who I would want to be compared to.

I trust you were not overly thrilled about that reference to Balthus???

EDIT - I think in this day in age an artist like that might find themselves in jail.

Tiny, thanks for looking. Actually I embrace the Balthus reference and it gives me a laugh. My work is "slightly" creepy but I am far from a creep. Happily married for almost 41 years and 2 wonderful grown sons. BUT the point is: you can not get an accurate portrayal of people in relaxed faces if you ask them to "pose." As yes, I like pretty young girls and well, pretty much all women young or old. I find the beauty wherever it may be.

As for Balthus: Many of his paintings show young girls in an erotic context. Balthus insisted that his work was not erotic but that it recognized the discomforting facts of children's sexuality. (Wiki)

Sounds good Kevin.

We will agree do disagree on that one :)

One thing I might offer as a suggestion with regards to the video is the use of a tripod with a good adapter on it for video panning.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Tiny, I am certainly an amateur when it comes to making videos. Balthus was controversial to be sure. Not thrilled with his nude prepubescents but loved his other work. I find him brave to say the least.
