Attaching Images In Emails

Can we no longer attach images in emails?
I have not needed to do this for a while, but I have just resized an image of mine that won a contest and is to be the new group avatar. The group admin asked me to email her this image.

THINKING... I just thought of something... I can attach my image here and give Group Admin the link.......... but would still like to know about attaching in emails.

you can send it as a link like we do here, but they turned off attachments because i think people were sending viruses or something. tell her to download the image on the contest -- those aren't protected with anything.

Send as a link or place the widget

Upload to something like photobucket, send the link, they can download it from there.
Otherwise go the easy route and just get the person's real email address to send it.

Thank you Mike, Abbie and Heather for your replies.

I was asked by the Administrator of the contest that I won if I could resize my winning image to 400 X 400 in order to place it as Avatar for the group. Not thinking anything more of it, I went into PS and cropped and resized..... this is when I tried to upload from my PC to an email, which I now know cannot be done.

I am sure that for an image to be placed as the Avatar for a Group, (my image is pending in the group), this should be able to be used as I figure the system will automatically make it a nice little square just the way we see all images as thumbnails.

If this is correct, I will let the Administrator know. ???
