Why has the last few days all the visitors I've received have been from bots. I did a test from another computer from work and asked a friend from the mainland to view some photos and no new visitors were accounted for other from bots?
Maybe the views from work and a friend were routed through a server in another city. Also if you are logged in to FAA the view may be your home city no matter what computer you are on. Locations are the best available information.
There was discussion about a month ago, where it had become clear that some searches are listed as Beverly Hills even when coming from other parts of the country, and that its at the ISP end not FAA.
It depends entirely on how your connection is made
Some go direct from your router to the site....equals correct location
Some re-route to other connections ...equals location showing from last router.....equals wrong location
Yes it appears all my visitors are from New York and Beverly Hills. I did have one from somewhere in Russia the other day, I'm presuming he was on his way to Beverly Hills.
