Still trying to figure out Instagram and they don't make it that easy to locate folks. Yes you can search by hastags but it appears to be limited on locating folks in ones area.

Just go to the search page on your app. (second icon on the bottom) and click on the magnifying glass icon top right

Put in the name you want

But yes, searching for people when you dont know their name is a pain. They assume you will know but putting in a name they use often works well

Thanks I finally played around with it last night and did a search for Facebook contacts and added a few of them. I also did a keyword search and liked some of the photos that it brought up.

Not real easy to expand ones circle of contacts though and still not sure how the photos get ranked in the keyword search. I am guessing it goes by how popular one is or how popular the photos are is how they show them.

Just started by posting general, non commercial, photos at the moment, not sure what direction to go in, whether to use instagram as a promotional site or just for fun.
If anyone here is posting images that are for sale what size do you post, I'm resizing to 1200 px square at the moment and wondering if that may be too big
