My artist dream is to have the freedom, time and motivation to paint or draw pictures that 'wow' people. I have liked art since I was a teenager and enjoy painting with acrylic and drawing. I am mostly a self-taught artist and enjoy painting landscapes, animals and pictures that move me. I do paintings that have intense color and where light plays an important part with the highlights, reflections or sun-rays. My painting style is realistic and detailed and at times I do abstract. I have a passion for art and am thankful to God for this time to follow my passion.
I love seeing the expression on a person's face as they look at my artwork for the first time and say 'wow, it looks so real.' My personal goal is to continue to grow as an artist by always looking for new ideas, techniques or methods to enhance my painting and drawing style. God has given us such a fantastic array of subjects, scenes, and colors in his majestic creation, that painting and drawing is always exciting. I have taught drawing and painting out of my home studio to children and adults for the past 10 years.
