Who is Vanya Shishkova?
Well frankly, a normal, everyday person with a hobby. I am originally from Bulgaria and currently live and work in the small village of Hunston, UK. Professionally I'm a nurse and painting is something that I've wanted to do for quite a while now but never really had the time to devote to. As a new artist, my style is fueled by a lot of improvisation and it's still under development. The process of getting the vision from your head to the canvas is challenging, filled with so many possibilities, but after all immensely rewarding.
My weapon of choice is acrylic paint but sometimes I also do different collages. Theme wise, there are no certain topics that I focus on specifically. There is a very intimate connection between me and my paintings since art got me through some tough moments of my life. In a sense, going through the gallery you can catch a glimpse of my abstract world.
